Good plot and characters, very different concept and I enjoyed reading everything but the ending. So many questions, nothing was resolved, they hinted back to past events but nothing was ever explained. Wasn't impressed with that, I want questions answered.

I received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads. Way better than I expected, the characters were fun and you didn't know who did it or why til the very last pages.

I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads. I wasn't a fan of it, I didn't like the choices the mother made, or how everyone was going through conflicts then it all wrapped up and ended happily ever after. It felt too fake and too forced for my liking.

I received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads. I tried to keep an open mind, and usually I like YA novels, but this was drivel. I found it very predictable, sad, and a bit ridiculous.

It definitely had similarities to The Scarlet Letter. I was expecting more of a biography on Millay, not a secondary character Laura. It was still interesting and well paced, just not what I thought I was getting into.

I wouldn't consider this a story about the war at all, to me it was more about the characters and the relationships between them. I didn't love the ending, I felt I was left with a lot of questions and everything just drifted off. There was no real conclusion.

The first part of the book was extremely confusing, in part my fault for jumping into book two without having read book one. After that I found the language choices confusing, a lot of sentences didn't flow and felt chunky and wrong. Also the Pictish language almost made me put the book down, it was painful to read the way it had been written. I had a really hard time getting through the book and would not recommend it.

I haven't read a lot of Danielle Steel's work yet, but what I have read I loved. Except for this book. It was completely ridiculous, even for someone who loves fantasy. It lost me half way through and was difficult to finish.

This was a much slower read than I remember from before. It started to get more gripping half way through, but it was definitely interesting to learn so much about all the women in Arthur's life. I look forward to seeing how Avalon adapts in the next books.

I love how easy these books are to read, they're very quick and very funny. I look forward to more of Dave The Laugh, and I wish we could read more from Georgia's parent's perspective.
