This is a fantastic story that I highly recommend to everyone, it's a great supernatural twist on The Jungle Book and is perfect for all ages.
I read this for the "By An Author Used In An Earlier Category" part of my 2020 reading challenge. Not my favorite art style, but it was a good story. I liked the different things that dad got traded for.
I thought this was a really good conclusion to the series, but I didn't find it quite as powerful as the other books. But I'm also happy this one didn't make me cry.
I read this for the "A Book That Makes You Mad" part of my 2019 reading challenge. I dislike this book and I dislike the series and I dislike the dumbed-down teen speak and the uber dramatic characters and all their boyfriend drama.
I read this for the "a celebrity memoir" part of my 2018 reading challenge, and it was fantastic. I laughed out loud in every chapter, and loved all of the insights into his life. I already loved John before this, and love him even more now.
Just as good as his first autobiography, I loved every minute of this. Several chapters had me laughing so hard I had tears.
Fascinating. It turned out to be so much better than I expected. It's not just about the sex, it's about the people, the communication, the technical aspects. Loved it.
I have mixed feelings about this book. Parts of it were really exciting and fast paced and I enjoyed the mystery and the humor, but I really didn't like how the fight scenes were written and some of the Geology bits bothered me.
I received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads. Mine was an advanced reader copy and over 400 pages, it felt like it took a lifetime to get through. I didn't like any of the main characters, and all of the secondary characters sort of blurred together. I completely forgot some were even in the story for several chapters until they suddenly spoke. The writing felt juvenile and the different races were hard to understand and keep track of. I also wasn't a fan of the sketches included in the book, they looked really messy.
I devour this book every time, even though I know the story I just can't put it down. I wish it was longer, more details about how the world got that way, more of what happened to her in the end. More of her daughter.
