I wish I had read this before I met Felicia Day at the Edmonton Comic Expo. She was delightful and adorable then, but having read this book about her anxiety and insecurities, I would have appreciated her a lot more.
It was a bit dated and ended suddenly, but it wasn't bad.
I don't really remember the movie and had somehow never read this book before, but I really enjoyed it. It was a great original fantasy adventure.
This was fantastic. I loved the story of Catwoman and of Selina's background and training, I would love to read more.
Just like Marlon Bundo, this was a beautiful story and beautiful artwork and everyone should own a copy.
I read this for the "A Book About Organized Crime/The Mob" part of my 2019 reading challenge. I never watched Mob Wives or knew anything about the Gravano family. This book was simply laid out and interesting enough that I could follow it with no background info.
i loved every second of this. It wasn't what I expected, though I'm not really sure what I expected. Every chapter was fantastic, and I felt so strongly for all of her choices. I love Taylor Jenkins Reid's characters and I can't believe they're not real people. It blows me away that they're not real people. I laughed and I cried.
I feel like Reese really missed the mark with this one, it reaches a limited part of her audience. As a single woman living alone, I couldn't relate to it at all and instead of thinking "this might be useful in the future" it was more traumatizing and now I don't want a partner or children. Not if that's what I have to look forward to.
This was fantastic! Better than Wonder Woman, almost as good as Cat Woman. I loved really young Batman and would love to continue reading about him. Marie Lu did a great job with this interpretation.
I really enjoyed this, I felt it was a fitting sequel to The Handmaid's Tale. It might not have answered every question, and it took some time to get used to the 15 year gap, but overall I think it was necessary and very well done.
