I wish these books had been released in order, instead of book 3 being chronologically set before the others. I found the hints in the other books gave too much away, but it was still fairly intense and enjoyable.
I don't generally enjoy short stories. I think these would have been better if they were recognizable characters or if they had fit into the known timelines better.
Beka is easily one of my favorite Tortall characters. I really love how they've gone back to an ancestor with this one to really give us a feel for George's family.
I really enjoy the stories of Beka and her time as a Dog, and I look forward to the final book.
This was a good conclusion to the series, but I was pretty upset with the direction one character went. I also thought the romance felt too rushed and convenient.
This was fantastic, I was hooked from the first page. I loved the characters and the portrayal of sexual harassment and what it's like to be a woman in the workplace. Everything felt very real and I really enjoyed all the twists in the plot.
I read this for the "Nominated for the 2018 Goodreads Choice Awards" part of my 2019 reading challenge. I really enjoyed it, I like the characters and they way they've changed since the first book, and I'm really looking forward to book 4.
I find some of her books to be hit-or-miss, but I absolutely loved this one. A Russian Countess, a few wars, it was all very well done.
I read this for the "A Book Published By HarperCollins" part of my 2019 reading challenge. So good! Not quite as good as book one I found, and I got a little confused by how fast the ending was, but I still really enjoyed it, could not put it down, and read the whole thing in less than a day.
Beautifully illustrated, very sweet and whimsical.
