This was set after the first war, and there were a lot of feels going back so far. Any mention of Tessa, Jem, or Will always gets to me. I did enjoy the story and the beginning of these character's relationships.

I read this for the "A Children's Book" part of my 2019 reading challenge. I really enjoyed it, the artwork and story were both delightful.

This was beautiful and clever and I adored the story.

I read this for the "A Book You've Been Meaning To Read" part of my 2018 reading challenge. I mostly enjoyed this book, the twists kept me on edge but I found the finale still had some loose ends. It was a good thriller/mystery, fast paced, but kind of a generic storyline.

Definitely an interesting concept and likeable characters, but everything felt too shallow and simple and I wish the story had gone more in-depth into the background and events.

This was very insightful and very depressing. I liked the light way he wrote about everything, while being honest and direct. The comparison at the end between how people were treated then and how many are being treated now needs to be talked about more.

I read this for the "A Memoir On Someone You Admire" part of my 2019 reading challenge. It was beautiful and amazing and phenomenal. It was very easy to read and very relatable and I loved every second and I got teary a few times. I'm not American or interested in politics at all but she is a strong, amazing woman and I wish I had paid more attention when they were in office. I'm really looking forward to seeing her speak in Edmonton in a few weeks, after reading this I feel like I know her and I miss her now that I'm done the book.

I wasn't overly familiar with Busy Philipps, but I really enjoyed her story and how straightforward and honest she was. This was a really quick read and I'd definitely pick up another of hers.

I read this for the "A Book Set In Southern USA" part of my 2019 reading challenge. It was good, and the recipes looked interesting, but overall I expected it to be deeper and more about her and her life.

I read this for the "A Gothic Fiction Novel" part of my 2019 reading challenge. I should have picked something else, I rarely like short stories or science fiction. Many of these stories were slow and had similar plots. A few were very similar to Frankenstein. Overall, not my cup of tea.
