I was not impressed by this, I found the plot really slow and the characters unrelatable, and I just wasn't into it.

I really enjoyed the tie-ins with the fairies, without them being everywhere and overwhelming. The characters and storyline were good and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

I received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads. Not my cup of tea, it was decently written but way too religious for my tastes, I got a bit annoyed by the "I don't need to take responsibility for my actions, God will take care of it" feelings.

I read this for the "A book with over 600 pages" part of my 2018 reading challenge. I love the Lincoln Rhyme novels and this one certainly did not disappoint. It was interesting and suspenseful the entire way through, and I love how the characters develop throughout the series.

This was a really fascinating and moving story of female spies during the war. I enjoyed both the present and past characters, and the mystery and revenge involved.
