I primarily chose this for the Mercedes Lackey story, but they were all a bit disappointing. Hers felt too quick and simple, no real plot or descriptions. The second one I had trouble following, there was no real world-building and the characters didn't stand out. The third had potential, but I won't continue the series.

Holy mother of plot twists, Batman. Page 338 was my favorite, I cannot get over the direction this took. All through the end of the book the voices in my head were shrieking, and there was another small twist at the end that I enjoy the direction of. Book 1 didn't excite me, but this one was fantastic and I am really looking forward to Book 3 and seeing where these characters go.

This was a fantastic version of I Am Malala, it highlights all of the important parts without being too dark and it emphasizes the importance of having a voice.

I found it pretty slow paced overall, but it was well built up and I enjoyed everything except the ending.

I loved this! It was dark and moving and I really liked the characters and the original take on Frankenstein.

It took a few chapters to remember the characters and past events since it had been a while since I read book 1, but once I was caught up I enjoyed the story and the interactions between the characters. Did not see the ending turning out like that.

This was alright, but mostly felt like a summary of the previous book followed by an excerpt of Book 2. No new information, just a different point of view.

This was surprisingly creepy, and very good. It was a simple, easy read for all audiences and I look forward to book 2.

I love this series, I've read book 3 the most and I really enjoyed going back to the beginning and meeting everyone again.

It was alright. For the first story, the characters and plot could have used way more depth. The second one was pretty well done, and the third just had too much going on.
