I could not get into this book. It was good, and very much like everything else I like, but for some reason it wasn't gripping and I didn't have a strong drive to finish it. It picked up near the end and I'll probably still finish the series, but it wasn't a must-read.

I'm sort of torn, at first I didn't love it and I didn't like each chapter flipping between the two characters. It felt like there were two complete plots being wedged into one book. Near the end though they both really picked up and I couldn't put the book down, and I was frequently surprised by some of the characters.

This book had everything! Action, adventure, romance, heroes, goddesses, friendship, and a fancy dress party. I was very surprised and impressed with how it all came together.

I loved this. I liked the wording and the structure and I resonated with so many of the poems.

Jeph Jacques is one of my favorite comic artists, I even have three prints that I had commissioned at the Edmonton and Calgary comic expos. I really want the rest of this series.

I read this book for the "A Book Written By An Author Under 30" part of my 2018 reading challenge. This book has been part of the Canadian Curriculum for around 40 years, and it definitely holds up. The fact that the author wrote it when she was in highschool blows me away, it's gripping and emotional and I read it in one sitting.

I read this book for the "A Book You Read In School" part of my 2018 reading challenge. It was different than I remembered, but it did make a lot more sense now. It was really good and I look forward to reading her new novel.

I received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads. It was a pretty predictable love story, everything settled into place too easily. The drama with her parents was interesting, but not enough to read the next book. I found the language to be a bit harsh, but otherwise it was a decent, easy read.

I liked this story better than the second one, this felt more concise and I appreciated it being more linear. I really like how the story line is all coming together, and I'm looking forward to the 4th book.

I wish I had enjoyed it more, but I just didn't feel enlightened or educated after finishing it.
