I read this for the "A Book That Challenges Your Viewpoint" part of my 2018 reading challenge. It was a fascinating look into how Maya grew up, and I look forward to reading her other work.

Very whimsical and fun, I enjoy his poetry.

Freakhouse and Parish are amazing! I was hooked by the first page each time, and devoured both books in one evening. My only complaint is I wish they were longer so we could experience more day-to-day life in the facility, and get to know more about the other characters and other levels of the building.

Loved it! I've been hearing about these characters for 10+ years so I was so excited to finally get to read about them. I found the plot fast paced and exciting, without being overwhelming, and the characters were realistic and relatable. I could definitely see the inspirations from Terry Brooks and the authors' own life as well. I want book two!

I read this for the "a historical non-fiction book" part of my 2018 reading challenge. I think I enjoyed it more now than I did when I read it in school, Anne's diary is a terrific reflection of all girls growing up, and the additional trials of living in close quarters with other people.

It was an interesting story, the artwork was beautiful but the tale didn't turn out quite like I thought.

I read this for the "a book that has been made into a movie" part of my 2018 reading challenge. I never read this book when I was younger, and I feel like I would have enjoyed it a lot more then. I was a bit let down, I felt that the plot was too quick and lacked substance, and it all seemed too easy.

I took this book out on a recomendation from the library, and I loved it. I think it was my first time reading about Soul Eaters as the supernatural creature and I thought they were fantastic and really well done.
