read 100 pages in 5 days which tells me I'm really not vibing with it. I just found the pacing weird and some of the prose really off and didn't make any sense, which was starting to annoy me. I know a few people with brilliant taste who love this book so there is definitely an audience for it, it just wasn't for me!

Despite guessing about 40% of the way into the book about how it was going to end I still really enjoyed it. Very quick and fairly easy read. A little flowery at times but loved the gothic-ness of the whole thing.
