I might never be happy again.
I loved it. I loved the story, the characters development.
I'm so happy that we got Tobias's POV in this book. I'd already read the short stories about him and . For me, he's a much more interesting character than Tris ever was. Tho changing POV at each chapter was kinda hard to follow since chapters are around seven pages.

Now I want Leigh Bardugo to make a book full of stories like this.
That was awsome. I'd read a thousand more stories like this.

Ohhh I had missed Nikolai, David, Genya and Zoya. It's so great to see them again.
But the book also made me fall in love with new characters really fast, so that's great to. Setting myself on an unavoidable road towards heartbreak. Because the heartbreaking moments where indeed heartbreaking (I probably cried more than while reading Crooked Kingdom).
Also there's a missing period on page 486 (chapter 36).

What an awsome read that was.
All those plot twists ?!?! This book was impossible to put down.
And that ending. WOW. I am MIND BLOWN.
The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I found the first 80/100 pages rather hard to read. The format gets some getting used too (it's like a script), and at first I was constantly lost between who's who.
But then it was a true masterpiece. I couldn't stop reading.

How is it that I was repeatedly warned that Crooked Kingdom would make me cry, but never about this book ?!?!?!?!
This is definitely my favorite Grishaverse novel. King of Scars had left me with high expectations, and I'm glad to report that they where exceed.
The main characters where amazing, I loved seeing them evolve (especially Zoya).
Nikolai is as awsome as ever.
The pacing was really great, and the book was full of twists that never stopped surprising me. I literally couldn't stop reading.
I loved that moral debate/questioning about the way of waging war, and the new technologies changing its nature.
The political and religious plotting was also super interesting to follow and to reflect upon.
