I didn't finish this book because my library hold for my kindle expired when I took it off of airplane mode and the wait is really long to try and it get it back again. I think I will try and read this one again. This is actually the second time that this has happened.

Fantasy stand alones are hard to come by and are even harder to find one done well, but this was able to do it so well. From the first line I was hooked, there was the shock factor that I needed to keep reading. Every character had their own development while the plot kept moving forward too. I really enjoyed how this book had such a fast paced plot, but I never felt overwhelmed or like it was too much happening at once.
I gave this book 4.25 stars because I loved it (4) and it had me thinking about it for a bit after, it was able to stick in my mind for a bit after reading it (0.25), something many fantasy books won't do for me because all of their plots mix together in my mind.
