I have no idea where this almost wordless book will fit but it has gorgeous gorgeous illustrations and if you get a chance to look at it, you should.

Not my favorite Shaun Tan, but you really can't beat his illustrations.

I poured over the illustrations. Definitely a good pair with "The Little Prince", although I'm not sure it's necessary to read that first.

It's not a sad dog book! It's well-researched and the end matter is definitely any teacher/researcher/Common Core dream. A big fan.

Oh man, Jack's parents are crazy! They go from job to job, barely escaping with their lives and no legal ramifications. This time though, he can't avoid their crazy. So he'll do his best to keep them all alive in the Caribbean. As you can tell by the title, things don't go according to plan.

World War I is hard to follow enough as it is. I think portraying the different parties involved as animals does help, especially because you can flip back to the beginning and remind yourself what the animal means. Not my favorite Hale (that's the Donner) but still worthy of being in your collection.

I feel weird saying I like a novel about assassins, but this is pretty good!

Quick read, enjoyable, start of a series.

So weird. So weird.

So good!
