Hmmm. I'm not really sure why this was picked as the National Book Award winner this year. I liked it better than "Endangered" but "Never Fall Down" was more powerful. I'll have to see how I feel after I read the other two.

Not sure what to think of this, but maybe I would have gotten into it sooner if I had read it rather than listened? Quite amazing how it all went along though.

My least favorite of the three. Even if I cried a little at the end.
