I chose to read this because Audible voted it "Best Audiobook of the Year." I did like it quite a lot. I myself might have structured the ending differently, but overall, a good read.

I liked it better than "When You Reach Me," but it still wouldn't be my pick for the Newbery. (I still want Wonder to win). I also had issue with the choices the narrator made about the voices of characters. Safer's voice was incredibly deep, which didn't make sense to me. I did enjoy the twist in the story, as it took me a while to see coming.

I guess I am going to have to talk to Hilary about this book, because I'm not really sure how I feel about this ending book. Sort of confused, I guess.

What a cliffhanger ending!

I enjoyed the storyline, although I did find the sheer number of characters hard to keep track of, and the plot seemed to jump around a bit.
