I’m officially sold on anything Junji Ito has done. This was exceptional and I honestly felt like I had deja vu reading ‘The Human Chair’ although I don’t think I ever read the short story before.

When Harry Met Harry

Sydney Smyth

DID NOT FINISH

Dnf’ed at 8%. This wasn’t a bad book but I just couldn’t get into it and had to go back a few times towards the very beginning to understand which Harry was talking. I might pick this back up again in the future but for the moment I have no interest in this book.

I put this down at 45% of the way through. Not because I don’t like it, because I absolutely adore it. But I’ve gotten into a major reading slump and I don’t know when I’ll be in the mood to pick this back up.

I absolutely adore the friendships Owen has, and I’m so into this romance. It’s all just so adorable and low-key makes me jealous of Owen. This is the first book I’ve ever read by this author and I’ll definitely be picking up more of their books, especially this series. I’m so glad I picked this book up because even though it’s not the first book in the series it’s like a standalone and I have a feeling that when I pick up the series I’m going to love the characters even more.

Thanks to NetGalley for the eArc of this book.

3.5*

This book is in no way a favourite of mine but I have to admit I did quite enjoy it for what it was. Had this not been just reports of the war it honestly would probably be a five star read for me. Which both disappoints me and leaves me feeling inspired and completely okay with how this was written.

4.5*

I was expecting that this was going to be a five star read for me like book one was but I wasn’t the biggest fan of something’s in Junior Year. But overall I loved these books so much and I love how this ended.

This book was a very fast read and easy to get through. Beyond that it was a fun, kept my attention and I enjoyed the storyline. Although I will admit this one wasn’t as good as I feel like it could of been but at the same time I’m okay with how it went down.
