To be completely honest this did put me in a minor reading slump but that was more to deal with the fact that it reminded me a lot of this book I read in August and I kept comparing the two and thinking one was the other. That being said I liked this one more than that one. And had I not gotten in that minor slump this definitely would of been a 5 star read for me.
I can’t wait for the sequel that releases in March and I highly recommend this book. This is one of if not my favourite apocalypse book I’ve read. And the fact that it’s queer makes it even better.

I hadn’t looked at the blurb of this book since I bought it in January so I was quite shocked by all the talk of religion. It was a lot. I also didn’t know how to feel about this book for a long time.
The relationship between Milo and Marcus reminded me a lot of Paul and Noah from Boy Meets Boy. This isn’t a book I’d recommend to everyone but by the end I came to really enjoy this. Although, I will admit how the story was going I definitely thought it was going to go a way that would of made this my worst book of 2023.

Once again not another favourite but it was still really good and I wouldn’t mind owning the physical copy. This is mostly just vibes versus plot. And I don’t know if I would even consider this enemies to lovers. This honestly felt pretty close to insta love. I mean it took awhile but not that long.

This is a book where you have to just go in for the vibes. There is a plot and it’s a good one but it’s mostly just vibes. This isn’t a new favourite of mine but it was still really good and I had a great time. I do also plan to buy a physical copy in the future.
I kept getting reminded of Hak and Yona from Yona of the Dawn while reading this. I just love the royal x bodyguard trope especially when it’s a historical setting.

I got over 5 hours into the audiobook and I could barely tell you a single thing that happened after I hit pause. Now that’s it been a few days I remember even less.
