The writing style was not for me. And I felt like if I continued reading this it would be one of my worst books of the year because of it.
I got over 5 hours into the audiobook and I could barely tell you a single thing that happened after I hit pause. Now that’s it been a few days I remember even less.
I put this down planning on going back to it the next day but it’s been over a week and I just have had no interest in picking it back up.
I thought the first book was just okay and went into this one trying to see if I would care enough about this one to want to keep the first book. And I obviously did not care enough considering after a one day break from the audiobook I have no interest in continuing even though it’s just started to ramp up.

Usually I would just push through the book especially when it’s been okay. But, I just couldn’t bring myself to pick this back up as I didn’t really care about the mystery. This was my first cozy murder mystery book so this might just be a normal cozy mystery and this could just not be the right genre for me.
I wish we saw more of the characters in the beginning to flesh them out more and make me care about them. But, what I read was a solid three star.
Thank you to NetGalley and Crooked Lane Publishing for the audiobook arc.

Dnf’ed at 8%. This wasn’t a bad book but I just couldn’t get into it and had to go back a few times towards the very beginning to understand which Harry was talking. I might pick this back up again in the future but for the moment I have no interest in this book.
