Animals: Wolf, goose, chicks
Several chicks are watching a silent film pan out between a wolf and a goose. As the wolf lures the goose back to his home to eat her, the chicks keep trying to warn that it is NOT a good idea. A clever little twist at the end will please reader and listener.

Toys: Inventions
Dawson has a mind for creation and everything has a re-purpose; until he creates an out-of-control cleaning robot with cat food for brains. The story is quite chaotic and fast paced, so, when reading, make sure that you are exploring the pictures and taking your time. Gall added label identifiers to all the ready-to-be re-purposed objects so it's fun to explore the jumbled images, much like a search-and-find. Obviously very appealing to kids who like building and tinkering and has visual similarities of a comic book.

This is a good book for readers familiar with the format of a picture book because when you finish the book--you are not finished! A nice inversion of expectations.
I would agree with other reviews that the artwork is the focus, especially following the line with your finger (best for one-on-one reads). The sparse words give the story less emphasis. Also, the story that goes from the beginning to end is slightly more confusing than the story that goes from the end to beginning. Why does he travel all that way to go to sleep on a ledge in a lagoon?

Food: Picky eaters
She's quite pretty, polite, and doesn't like peas? Well, it must mean she's a princess! When Lily gets shipped off to attend to her princessly duties, she finds it's not all tiaras and pretty dresses.
For picky eater tales, this is complimentary addition that strays down it's own fun path. The rhyme scheme was well executed and the artwork was an assorted, entertaining mix of action panels and little details to provide interest for multiple reads. I had slight beef with the retelling of the Princess and the Pea story (she was allergic to peas and that's how they knew she was a princess? Uh uh.).

Yeah, this was pretty miserable. Bad story, bad focus, bad writing, bad pictures. I wonder if the others in the series are this blase.
This will relieve no fears regarding the hospital; especially when Ross only showed the princess in the hospital during one page.

Fractured Fairy Tale
He huffed and he puffed and he blew the house down! "Oh, I can't believe that worked!" said the somewhat bad wolf who was really just irritated that all his favorite restaurants were closed. This is a nice fractured tale that still keeps the structure and repetitious phrases of the original tale but plays on listeners' expectations.

Religion: Jewish
It was fun to see how these three characters would respond to various scenes with the same initial response of "Oy" "Feh" or "So?" Although Jewish families might find this story even funnier because they know a relative that responds as such, this book can definitely be enjoyed by all families. Great for reading aloud with emotions.

Animal: Rabbit
I loved the part where the narrator (being you) tells the bunny to draw the Not-so-big-bad wolf and the bunny draws the Big Bad Wolf. You then tell the bunny to erase certain aspects of the wolf. Also, that page with the terrified bunny's expression is priceless.
