Frenemies to lovers fantasy set in a snowy Scandinavian town. The opposing personalities (one a female introverted academic and the other a male extroverted fairy searching for a way back home) felt charmingly defiant yet drawn together by a shared interest in the fairy world.

The audiobook narrator uses English, Scandinavian, and Irish dialects.

Witchcraft, talking cats, loyalty, and a foul creature made of smoke and nightmares. I really adored the way Eldredge amplified Nimbus' cat-like traits (determination, skepticism, stubbornness) but tinged with a willingness to change. It was very endearing.

Age: Preschool-Kindergarten
SEL: Anxiety, racing thoughts at bedtime

A bit didactic but an informative convo between a mom and her monster-concerned daughter.

Age: Preschool+
Activism: Intellectual freedom, book banning, child participation
Animal: Lion
Community helper: Librarian

A plot-based book about finding the dormant ROAR inside of you to defend the right to read. Inspirational and supportive of the community helpers that open their doors to everyone.

Age: Toddler-Preschool
Animal: Brown bear
Concept: Colors
Food: Berries

Brown bear is HUNGRY and eats all the berries it can find, getting messy along the way. This would be an excellent felt story for storytime.
