Yetis are shy and quiet, but there is a goblin who is going to prove to you that they are the worst creatures out there.  They just must find them first.  This book is tongue in cheek.  It is so much fun and not only are the illustrations great, but the cover of the book also has both scratchy and fluffy textures.  It’s the little things that count, and this book was a little joy to read.

This is a play on the typical story of the Tortoise and the Hare.  The difference is that in the end, both animals learn that balance is what is important, and they make good friends because they can help balance each other out.

This book is a definition of Pride.  It uses real people to illustrate this definition and the end kids can look up the people they do not know.  This book is well done and informative. The artwork is unusual in a good way.  It brings back memories of the psychedelic artwork of the late 70s with a modem eye.

What a great book.  This book is not sing-song at all.  It has a heartbeat all its own. It reads to a drum cadence that always hits the beat.  The rhymes work, and it’s a joy to read out loud.  I want to do this at a Storytime.  Plus learning about some of the various ghosts in the White House, was a fun little extra.

This is a simple board book.  I wished it rhymed, but it just talks about various drums, and where they came from.  The book is okay, but a little long for a board book.

Molly now lives on the moon.  She was only allowed to bring one toy.  A little sheep.  She is able to use her imagination and make toys out of cast-off things.  However, her little brother only has one friend… her.  So, she decides to help him out and make him a new friend of his own.  This was a lovely story with lots of heart.

This is a quick and fun look at Chicago and things that one can do in the day.  It’s a series, and works well, so pick up the other titles as well.

This book is about a real event, the oil spill in Santa Barbara in the 1970s.  However, the characters are just that, characters that help move the story along.  The senator is real, but the little girl at the heart of the story is not.  Either way this book does a great job of showing why Earth Day was created and why it is still needed.

This was a very cute story.  Is it true?  No idea.  But it will get children interested in the historical figure.  I did enjoy the information in the end.  It didn’t try to bias one in any generation, just left important information to let little minds think about.

This is not a biography of David Bowie, but a fictional tale of how music and movement sparked his creativity and lead to a long career in the spotlight.  This is a wonderful tribute to a man who left this earth too soon.
