This represents book 34 of the Revenge of the Sisterhood series. What’s nice about this book is if you have stepped away from this series for a while you come back and it’s just like coming home. You have the characters you know and love such as Jack and Myrna. the truck driver, everybody else, plus the lovable dog that always knows the right thing to do. Nikki and Jacqui been hard-working lawyers as well as their side work with the sisterhood, but they decided it’s time to get away and take a little break. Too bad that work goes with him in the form of a car bomb. An injury takes place and the sisterhood is out for revenge. Overall, this book with a nice comfort red. However, a lot of this story was the buildup. The revenge part is lackluster and kind of softer then was seen in the first books. I don’t know if the softer story is because of something that happened in earlier books or because the author is rethinking the way revenge has to work. The audiobook is great because Mona feels like Mona. She feels like an older lady not some fresh young teenager.

This graphic novel is both heartbreaking and contemplative. Its the story of a modern family both past and present, and the difference in life between two mothers. A turbulent mother daughter relationship is hard enough but add to it immigration, war, poverty, and death and it becomes a tough mountain to climb. Eventually the other side found. This is a look at a family that most people won’t recognize but some will. The author gives us the true accounts of her, her mom, her dad, brother sisters, and how it correlates to the life that she lives now. This graphic memoir has been chosen as an NEA big read book for this year, and after reading it, I understand why. This isn’t any graphic novel, but an in-depth tale of longing for a place to belong and longing for the family you think you should have. This book both breaks your heart, but helps find a way to mend those pieces as time marches forward.

This is a fun holiday entry into this wildly adventurous series. Clemeny is still working for the Red Hood Society, and she’s been taken off her werewolf patrol and put the case of missing children. There’s something a little off about these missing children because things are getting left behind like some collie birds and five golden rings. Not only does Clemeny have to solve this mystery, she’s got the hots for her boss. In a previous book she was pining after Lionheart, but we do know that Lionheart has a soft spot for a different lady and Clemeny me as like I’ll leave those two alone. This book is full of adventure for as short as it is, as well as a very sweet story. Tt’s good for the holidays or any time around. I love the series and can’t wait to continue.

This was so much fun. Did you know in middle school Bruce Wayne was not super yet all the other kids around him were? He was let into the school because his parents paid for it. All he to be is a vigilante. Yep, his goal is to be a vigilante. Alfred, his butler, is like no thank you. Try as he might Brucei still cannot be super enough to make his vigilante dreams come true. But with some hard work, determination, and lots of laughs, he will have the beginnings of Batman and the character we have grown to love. We get this middle school iteration of Bruce Wayne from Stuart Gibbs. The same Stuart Gibbs, who writes the Fun Jungle, Moon Base, Alpha, and Spy School books. DC picked the perfect author to take a stab at a not super, not dark, not yet dangerous Batman. I need more books in this series right now.

This is a simple story of one family meeting their cousins from a far off distance. This is an indigenous story from the anishinnabe people. The story is simple but the inclusion of the indigenous words and the indigenous art style is very helpful in projecting the heart of the story

Green Lantern goes someplace it’s never been before to the far sector. Our green lantern is new with a new type of experimental ring that she has been sent to the far sector of the universe is to help solve a murder and bring peace to 20 billion people. I went into this graphic novel with no realization it was going to be a Green Lantern story. Green Lantern was not a superhero. I grew up with and unfortunately only really have the Ryan Reynolds version to remind myself off and we all know how bad that sucked. But with MK Jennifer Hudson at the helm, this book is entertaining exciting and has a really quirky but thought-provoking concept and storyline. The story grabs your attention and keeps you flipping pages until the very end. No wonder it won a Hugo award. It deserved it.

Syv is the seventh snow cat Prince. We start this book with a story of the eldking who used to rule over the land. But the eldking has been missing for a long time. When syvs father passes away, a new king must take his place maybe not an eldking but a new king. The kingdom that he lives in is poor and the people are untrusting of the big cats who just want their gold. Syvs too nice to the people in the community so his six brothers come up with a way to make him disappear. However, syv is more than what people think he is. He befriends a little girl, who turns out to be more than he ever expected. He goes on a wild and grand adventure to find the crown of the eldking and hopefully help his people. I certainly enjoyed the story even though parts of it feels a rushed. There is a big build up and then the ending is anticlimactic and very swift in coming. The artwork is amazing. It’s quite beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This book really makes me think about the old, sci-fi, animated movies that I grew up loving. Movies like the secrets of Nima, the animated Lord of the rings, and other things like that. I would love to see this transformed into a animated movie in the same art style that it has with a few changes to the story, but not many. Overall, this is a fantastic fantasy graphic story that while Maybe not, popular will have the ability to live on for many years if the right nerves get a hold of it.

This was a really fun and interesting graphic novel. Zoe has been homeschooled her entire life and is now going to school for the very first time in the middle of a semester during middle school. Zoe‘s parents are coders, and she learned from them. She developed her own app, called the cool code to help her in every day life to be a better person than she already is. But her original app is not as good or work as well as it should. When Zoe joins the coding club, the entire club, take it up as a project to make it better and make Zoe one of the cool kids. Zoe by complete mistake makes her own friends and learns that being cool isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be if you have to be someone besides yourself. This book was a lot of fun and had a great message and made coding more cool then kids might think of it otherwise. Overall, I could see this book staying on the shelves for years to come.

This was a really fun elementary level graphic novel. It would fit nicely in collections such as Norwall and jelly. It has simple concept to understand is full color and is very tongue-in-cheek. Kids are going to love it. Can’t wait for volume to to find out what Noem does for his birthday.

This is a cozy picture book for kids about giving books on Christmas Eve and spending the night reading. This audiobook was well done with music and sound effects and just made what’s already a lovely book a magical delight. There is an Icelandic tradition called johodkflood and this is a more international version of that tradition. This is a tradition that would be lovely to see families pass on or start as a new tradition for themselves.
