I was sent a copy of this by Firefly Press in exchange for an honest review.

I felt that this had so much potential, I loved the concept of Angels of Death, and a world filled with supernatural beings. However, it fell a little short on delivery for me. I think if it had been polished a bit more, more depth to the characters and the lore, it would have been a really good fantasy read.

Trigger warning for those who are sensitive to storylines involving child soldiers and child abuse.

Fast paced, action packed and brimming with raw emotion.

This book took hold of me from the first chapter and didn't let me go. There is so much to this story - intelligent, well developed characters, multiple involved story lines and plenty of sci-fi action. I was left emotionally wrung out at the end.

If you're looking for strong female characters, big explosive scenes, quiet heartfelt moments and emotional journeys - then this is for you.

3.5/4 stars.

This short story holds a lot of whimsy centred around the hard reality of the coronavirus pandemic. A good way if interpreting the early stages of lockdown and how it can affect those of any age and especially those with loved ones deemed essential workers.

I struggle to enunciate how much I have adored this series so far, and this third installment is no different.

Magical adventure steeped deep in complex emotions and scenarios draws the reader back into Morrison's world and holds them tightly.

I laughed, I gasped and I cried.

If you haven't jumped into the world of Nevermoor yet, do so now. Although be warned, it is never enough and you'll be left desperate for another book the second you finish this one.

3.5/4 stars.

This book has been sat on my shelf for far too long and I am so glad that I finally picked it up

Endearing and magical, any reader who has wanted to plunge into the books they're reading will enjoy the premise of this story.

I had wanted a little more from the characters and the world in general, there were a few moments where I thought a bit of depth would have made it more believable, but I did enjoy it overall.

I am left sat here, sobbing and shattered.

Finding the words to describe how much I love this book is proving so hard. It resonates with me on so many levels, every single possible emotion has run through my bones as I have sat and read this. I wanted to savour every drop of excellence and stagger my reading sessions. But I found myself, slowly but surely, unravelling and being unable to stay away.

The struggle for people of colour, their emotions, their lives. All of it. Spread across pages so beautifully written that if you are not touched in some way by this story, then I cannot fathom your reality. I laughed, I cried and I burned with the ferocious fire that so many of us hold close.

So much is touched upon with the pages of this story, love, loss, friendship, loyalty, romance, mental health and the unbridled well that grief can leave us with. If you are a person of colour, particularly a black person, looking for your hero. Bree is here to show you that through all the struggle, we can be more than we thought we could be.

I wanted this, I needed this, I loved this with all the atoms in my being. Read this book.

Beautifully illustrated and jam packed with information about the part that space rovers play in our understanding of planets in our solar system. All delivered with a heart warming story to back up the science.

Perfect for young readers with a keen interest in space, exploration, science and engineering.

Fast paced action from start to finish, this hero to villain story holds no punches. Full of betrayal, hardship and self discovery - Villainous - contains everything every good comic book lover wants.

Fans of Deadpool, Venom and the Suicide Squad may find themselves loving this collection.

Poignant and filled with life lessons, The House With Chicken Legs is a wonderful story that guides us through the states of grief that comes from loss. Beautiful, and heartfelt, a journey of self discovery.

Gorgeously illustrated, this fairy tale retelling is beautiful.

I love Neil's twist on popular stories, making them darker and more real. I loved the characters and their journey, Chris Riddell's illustrations never disappoint.
