Important, poignant and emotional.

Eat, and Love Yourself looks at the relationship a person can have with themselves when they're struggling with an eating disorder. this story is told in such a beautiful and meaningful way, accompanied by stunning illustrations. I couldn't put it down. I am so grateful I was able to review this early and will be encouraging people to pick it up.

Dark and chaotic filled with surrealism.

4.5 star rating, I didn't enjoy this quite as much as I did The Books of Magic. I'm not sure, but it was missing a certain essence to it, so it didn't get the full 5 stars. But I did still enjoy the world that has been created with it's nods to both biblical and historical figures, twisted into the world of Dream.

Fast paced magical action with a great sense of camaraderie.

I loved this story from start to finish and can't wait to join this team again on their future escapades!

Witty, fun and jam packed with mystery.

This is a great MG book for those who are wanting to get into reading the mystery genre. It has intrigue, endearing characters and an underlying historical story that really cements it in the real world.

I liked the loyal friendship aspect that really shone through the entire story from start to finish.

3.5 stars.

This has actually been re-branded as the first book in the Manhattan Ten novella series.

A sexually charged superhero short story from start to finish. If you want something that doesn't require a lot of depth but has some really great sexual chemistry with it's characters then look no further. A very quick read, action packed from start to finish.

I loved this one even more than the first, the new characters really add more layers to this story and I enjoyed the previous characters growth and change.

I'm sad that some of the things I was rooting for in the first book, aren't coming to pass, or at least certainly are not in this book haha but what reader can honestly say they haven't wanted different outcomes sometimes.

It's such a good book, I struggled to put it down and my heart can't wait for the next one.

Fans of Beauty and the Beast will love this series retelling.

Outstanding - my pick for one of the top YA books of next year.

I don't think that I have ever read a YA book that centred on the Aztec culture, something that fascinated me so much as a child, and I adored this.

There have been so many stories over the last year or so revolving around arranged marriages, or winning princes hearts ect. that I must admit, I entered this book a little jaded. However Lani has woven this magical world with such finesse that it drew me in and I couldn't put it down.

Rich culture interwoven with demi gods, friendship, romance, betrayal, secrets, plots, war and tested loyalties. This has everything I love and more.

Word to the wise though, this story will suck you in and you will be left as desperate as I am for the sequel. I cannot wait to follow these characters on the next step of their journey.

3.5 out of 5 stars.

A fast paced murder mystery, a cat and mouse-esque relationship and a righteous thief bind this story together.

However, there were at times quite a lot of moments that were just high society scenes that didn't lend itself to the plot at all. I felt that some of the side characters could have played bigger roles or had more depth to them.

I did enjoy the dynamic between the two main characters however, and enjoyed the journalistic side.

Forbidden magic, star crossed lovers and a murder mystery all roll together to create the world of Ever The Hunted.

I enjoyed the cat and mouse thrilling chase across two warring lands and the characters both good and bad met along the way.

Looking forward to the sequel!

This is certainly not the kind of book I would usually reach for however if you are a lover of any sort of romance 'chicklit' esque book, this may very well appeal to you. It is a journey of re-discovery and the steps that one must sometimes take to move on.

I found the latter quarter of the book much more interesting than the firs three quarters as it showed a lot more depth to the characters, especially the main character Jo. There are a few humorous moments as well to detract from the emotional undercurrent of the story.
