An interesting romance story that is filled with emotion. If you enjoy stories with multiple perspectives from very different characters, then you may enjoy this.

I received an eARC from the author through an online giveaway, but these are my honest thoughts.

I am distraught. I adored Only A Monster and was so concerned it's sequel would not live up to it. But I am hurting so much from this book and I adore it.

There is so much emotion within this story, the angst, the grief, the heartache. All interwoven with a wild, fast paced adventure.

If you loved the first book, be prepared to fall in love all over again. I need the next book right this minute!

An interesting magical system and adventure filled story that keeps the reader gripped.

If I had anything negative to say, it would be that I wanted more from the characters. At times they felt a little flat, not as fleshed out as I would have liked. But overall I really did enjoy the story and do look forward to the sequel.

I went into this, in full trepidation, as there has been so much hype surrounding this book and I really did not want to have my hopes dashed. But I was so pleased that it did not disappoint!

Hidden disability rep, positive attitude towards sex and sexuality, well written characters, excellent world building and lots of tension- this book had everything I love. I could not put it down!

If you are a fan of books where the 'bad guy' gets the girl, where there is action packed scenes coupled with thoughtful dialogue - then this is the book for you. I am impatiently awaiting the sequel!

Dark and chaotic filled with surrealism.

4.5 star rating, I didn't enjoy this quite as much as I did The Books of Magic. I'm not sure, but it was missing a certain essence to it, so it didn't get the full 5 stars. But I did still enjoy the world that has been created with it's nods to both biblical and historical figures, twisted into the world of Dream.

Intriguing, mysterious and beautifully written.

I adored this dark, luscious contemporary fantasy. Struggled to put it down.

Perfect for those who love a mystery, magic and complex characters.

3.5 stars.

I think perhaps I would have enjoyed this more if I had read it physically rather than listening to it as an audiobook. There were moments where the story felt disjointed and the characters disconnected from one another.

However I do feel the general story was lovely and had some wonderful moments to it. If you enjoy short stories with lessons to teach, then this is for you.
