If you haven’t read Code of Conduit yet, what are you waiting for?
I fell in love with the author’s writing from that book and I couldn’t be more excited when I’ve heard we get more of her stories in the Penny Universe.
I loved this book so much for so many reasons. Great characters, especially the female one, great banter and greater romance moments.
Can’t recommend it enough.

This story was definitely a gripping one. From the beginning, there isn't really a break from the fast paced action.
When you live with someone for 16 years and have children together, get through a lot of ups and downs in life, you expect to know the other person and don't doubt him for anything.
A chance encounter or not , reveals that actually Tom has lived a double life and hide it all along.
I liked how Sally was portrayed in the story and it's understandable why she chooses to give him credit and believe his lies .
What I didn't liked though, where all the lies that Tom kept telling her, all the hiding and odd behaviour. They never sat down to talk like adults as it's expected for a married couple and at times it looked like he wasn't worth her time at all. They didn't act like a caring couple towards each other, they just felt like two strangers living in the same bed but with no attraction, no real life together.
Overall, the book it's great but with some unnecessary twists in my opinion.
It's gripping, holds your attention all the way throughout the story and many people will definitely enjoy it.
Dark and steamy like you can expect from a favourite author in the genre.
If you love dark romance with two different characters and broken souls this book is definitely for you.

Pascal had my heart since I’ve read Discretion and I couldn’t pass the opportunity to read his story.
I’m always looking for the most unlikeable characters because I know their story is much more angsty and have so much more to say.
My heart broke after the prologue and I couldn’t read fast enough to find out what happens with Gabrielle next.
What I liked more is that they become friends first and maybe, because of the contract signed, they learn that they can trust each other.
It’s a slow burn love story of revenge and acceptance, a love that comes to heal and puts back together all the broken pieces.
Many loose ends are tied and there’s a twist that I thought it wouldn’t end up well but it worked better.
Also, if you ever have a chance to visit Llorca, Spain, do it because it’s one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Same great writing style and interesting characters but somehow the overall story wasn’t exactly what I thought I’ll get.
It was interesting to see how much love plays a part in this book and how much people are willing to forgive and get over to make something out of their own life.
Although it’s not one of my favourites, it will be a loved book.

A beautiful love story and heartbreaking moments but like in real life, these characters are the perfect examples of how many people are going through their life with love and happiness being the priority of everything they do.
We all want to be clairvoyant at least one time in life and maybe to even know when and how this life will end but would you believe it if you’re finding that out? Would you take every opportunity to get to do all the things you want in life? Or would you just carry on living your life like that “what if” moment never happened?
I must admit that this story brought a few tears in my eyes and the way the author has managed to build up al the angst and emotional turmoil that the characters are going through added to this beautiful story.
I’m a very moody reader but this one was perfect for me at this time.

Do you go into books blind? Like not reading the blurb or refusing to acknowledge anything about the story because you just want to be surprised and read on your own pace? That’s what I’ve done with this book.
I’m a huge fan of suspense and psychological thrillers and if you add a romance story with it then I’ll be reading that book in no time.
Somehow, I’m still amazed at how the author has managed to keep me on the edge and filling my head with so many possible theories and at the end to still be wrong and surprised by the unveiling of so many twists and layers that she carefully wrapped up in this story.
It’s one of my favourite books of the year and more so goes in my favourites of all times because from something dark and twisted she manages to give a happily ever after to a character that many people in real life will not look twice or think “like father like son”

A heartbreaking love story that everyone should read.
I loved Journey and Lincoln book is the true example that many times life has its way with everything that happens in one’s destiny and they were definitely destined to be the one for each other.
Their story is full of secrets and lies and how much love and happiness is more important than anything else in life.
Love it and can’t recommend it enough.

Heartbreaking and full of emotions, this book brings together two souls that are way too young for the pain, grief and all the emotions that they have to go through after the shooting and death of her boyfriend/his younger brother .
The writing was very good and it’s my first book by the author so it was a pleasant surprise as it kept me reading it in one sitting.
The characters are very well written, with flaws and reliable and the story overall is bringing more awareness for PTSD and how everyone copes with grief in their own way.
Will definitely read more by the author and recommend this book to my friends.

A lovely M/M story with two great characters.
I enjoyed the writing first of all. It’s fresh and keeps you engaged from the first page to the last.
As for the characters, they seemed a perfect match together and their banter and moments were very enjoyable.
It’s my first book by the author and honestly I can’t thank Penny enough for bringing us new to us authors that I’ll definitely be reading more in the future.
