A second chance interracial love story that will keep you wanting more and more from this couple.
It's been a while since reading a historical romance and i wasn't disappointed in this new to me author and story.
Like many marriages, not everything goes planed and the couple has to overcome so many twists and turns throughout the story, some things may trigger some readers but they needed to be said as real-life can be even worse than the fictional one.
Good writing, great characters and overall a great story that shows how love can overcome any obstacles if it's meant to be.

An interesting story about the era and life in England.
A beautiful location very well described and a strong woman who tries to find her way in life after the ost of her fiancee and brother due to the war.
The community and the support she's receiving it's a great help to find herself and dream of a better future away from her mother and family.
If you like historical stories this book is perfect for you.

It's my first book by the author and i haven't read the others in the series but didn't felt like really needing to go back as many questions that i had at the beginning were answeres along the way while reading.
It's a very interesting story, with characters that without realising, get under your skin and stay there, making you want to know more, to feel more of their thoughts and turmoils.
I'm not a big fan of dystopian or fantasy books but this one really stuck with me and now i want to read the next one more than anything because i hate that major cliffhanger we were left in.

I liked how the real-life situations are involved in this story and how, even if you're not into politics, it makes you think or be more aware of what's happening in our world at this moment.

I need more of this story. It's too short and has so much potential to be a best seller. Lovely and reliable characters but there's not much development in it as it's way too short. It's more like watching an episode of Friends between Chandler and Monica.

The writing was good but honestly, the story could be more than this.

I really wanted to like this book so much more but for some reasons, i just couldn't connect with the romance between them.
Firstly, i wanted to have dual pov, for various reasons but we only get her pov, which is fine but it's too much like she is too much for me. She's always too uptight, too much self-absorbed, she is learning what love is but her mind is just at her winning the game and the sex is so much closed doors that i wanted a bit of more insight.
It's a light, quick and easy read, but just not what i was expecting from it.

I really enjoyed this book. It treats so many topics that mothers are dealing with. From the fake social media posts and feelings to real-life problems that we deal every day while trying to balance a job, childcare and the guilt of not spending enough time with them, family life and social life. It can be so overwhelming at times because the society it's changing so much every year with new demands and, as always, people are trying to fight or stay true to their ideals.
I'll definitely recommend this book to all my blogger mummy friends.

If you're a fan of Big Little Lies or even Sex in the City, this book is definitely for you.
A fast-paced read, with many characters that i found hard at times to keep up, each main character has a life description and along comes their family, children or not, and the story with each other.
A great summer read for sure but in the end, there were things that for me felt unreliable or unbelievable.
I'll still recommend this book because i really enjoyed it.

This book was truly amazing. i loved how we can still find people in this world that aren't so self-absorbed and go to lengthways to help others.
From tragedies rise empathy always, especially for a journalist that has to write about said horror crimes and always having in mind the family or people closed to those deceased. After witnessing so many unsolved crimes, he takes his own work on the field and shows us how, with a little willing and with a bit of more awareness, some clues can help to solve mysteries.
I'll be recommending this book to anyone who enjoys a really good read.

4.5 stars
Being my first book by the author didn't exactly know what to expect, but this story got me gutted from the first pages and i just couldn't put it down.
As a mother, you'll go to no end to keep your daughter safe when life strikes bad and will do whatever it takes to provide a decent life and a future for her.
Told in 3 povs, this book is full of twists and turns that i didn't see it coming my way even if i really enjoy psychological thrillers, a cast of characters that will keep you guessing what they are thinking or what are their goals at the end and why are they really acting like this.
All this make for a perfect read for me and I'll be looking out for more books by the author as I'm definitely a big fan now.

I must admit that my feelings are so conflicted about this story.
I couldn't get into the first half at all, I had to stop reading it several times after just a few pages or a chapter. I just couldn't understand what exactly I was reading about but after the tenth time picking it up, and paste half way through, everything started to make sense and I'm so happy that I didn't give up in the end and finish the story.
It's challenging for sure but very good overall. Can't say I really enjoyed the characters or their buildings throughout the story but I'll definitely recommend this story to all my book friends.
