As in every family or group of a long time or life long friends, there are always secrets kept from everyone or there are twists and turns that can change the dynamic of the group forever. In this case, is the dead of Allistar's wife. He then decides to take a year off apart from everything he knew until then and when he comes back, he is bringing a new addition to the group, a new woman that everyone hates and they think she only wants to see them apart from the strong bond they had for so many years.
There are many characters in this story, from different generations, and we get to know a bit of everyone and their current lives, but the true secrets are soon revealed and also that will make for a lot of discussion and doubts, and what-ifs or why and how.
Overall was a good story, the writing is great but the pace of the story and everything else felt a little flat for me, i just couldn't get into it or couldn't relay with any of the characters.

A lovely read with two very different characters but so good together.
I enjoyed this book, with all the ups and downs coming from a family in the high society and the demands that come along with that. The fact that our heroine is always helping everyone, but also stands for what she wants is a great point from me as i got tired of the damsels in distress in need of saving all the time.
Thad is a gentleman, a romantic at the core and so much a swoon-worthy hero that everyone will love him. He's on a hunt for a wife but finds a woman that he'll fall in love head over heels with her.
Overall is a good story, great writing that will keep you wanting more and will definitely recommend this book to my friends.

When we believed in mermaids is a beautiful and also heartbreaking story about two sisters that went through a lot of difficult moments in their lives.
The story is very well written and will keep you engrossed in its pages without even realising where the time has gone when you finish reading it.
The story itself it's sad and heartbreaking because it deals with so many triggers situations for many people but it could easily be a reality for any contemporary family as well, not only fiction. From the abuse of all kind to the heartbreaking story of thinking and living one's life believing that your sister has died in a terrible attack.
There are so many well written descriptions of the surroundings that you really feel like being there in the book with the heroines and live their story in person.
I'll definitely recommend this book to my book friends for a more than a summer read.

Love it
I finally listened to my friends and read this amazing book that everyone is just ranting and ranting about it as how it’s their best book of the year. Well, guess what? It’s on my top 3 as well and for good reason.
I loved how the author redeemed Pestilence, how love changed him and how he let her go because he loved her. And the ending was just perfect.
Now going to read War as it definitely left me wanting more from the author.

Steamy and hot story but also heartbreaking or heartwarming, depending on how you see things or how you feel about an age gap romance where the heroine is fifteen years older then the hero. A lot of moments when I laugh out loud, but also a great story about life and love.
Good writing and interesting read.

The nightmare of every young woman in college.
I’m not talking about the hero, he’s bad and good, he’s head is messed up because he’s still hurting after her but the other character is just too much to digest at times.
The book has a lot of triggering feelings so not for the faint of heart.
I’ll still recommend it because it treats some issues that everyone should be aware of and maybe pay more attention.

I love Beau so much, he’s kind and funny and so dedicated to his family and friends and more so to Shelly. He’s there for her when she’s doesn’t even know what she needs.
Love it.

Oh Cletus
Can you love and hate at the same time one book boyfriend? Because that’s how I feel about Cletus. He makes you laugh out loud but infuriates you at the same time.
For the sake of science, he doesn’t even realise how hard he falls for Jenn and that makes him more lovable at the same time.
Can’t wait to read their adventures in the next books.

Love them all
I love this family and friends so much. I was hooked while reading Knitting in the city and wanted so much to read about all of the brothers.
Great writing as usual and interesting story overall.

More than love
Neil is definitely my one and only book boyfriend of all times. Apart from being a Viking, he has a heart bigger than anything you ever read or heard.
He’s dominant , a true alpha but Ariel is his match for everything. She won’t give up so easy and he has to work a lot for her love.
I love them more than anything.
