What an interesting story.
I love when I found new to me authors and their books. This one in particular was a story that I really enjoyed as it treats about old family secrets and how different are people within said family.
I liked the short stories and the images they create.
The characters felt real with good and bad intentions, thoughts and emotions.
I would recommend this book to my friends for an emotional story overall.

I enjoyed this book much more than I expected.
New to me author and her books ,I'm so happy that I chose this story that I've read it in one sitting because I was hooked from the first page till the last one.
I liked the characters, because they are flawed, with insecurities and a past that they need to overcome and heal their broken heart to look for a brighter future.
I loved that they are so different but so perfectly matched. The interaction, the banter and many moments are so worth your time to read.
There are things that I may not agree with but let's be honest, nobody it's perfect and the author has created a great story.
I'll be recommending this book to my friends for sure.

Interesting office romance, age gap and heartbreaking story but lovely and hopefully at the same time.
It's a good written story, with two characters that are so different but so well matched up together, it's heartbreaking at times but also hopefully and even if it has darker moments, it's still a love story. Everyone has their own opinions and feelings and tastes, we should not judge them for it and if someone finds love in a situation where others can't understand I always appreciate them.


I need more

I just finished The Dominant, the second book in this series and i can’t say how much I love it and what exactly I felt while reading it.
There are so many twists and turns and everything in between in this book that I felt my head spinning around in awe and had my heart broken for the things that Sam and his wife has to go through.
I just need more of this story!

It's such a great and cozy book to read while feeling the sun on your face and having a cold drink near you.
A great writing style that makes you reading the book in less time than expecting, a story that has a bit of everything to experience a heartwarming romance with a bit of mystery in an old castle that is holding captive a ghost, (like most castles do, no? ) and a great few experiences in the weeks to restore the old chambers and furniture for a future business that could keep them live a lovely life in the castle.

What a fun and heartbreaking story at the same time.
Firstly I have to admit that it’s the first book that I’ve read by the author but definitely won’t be able to pass another opportunity to read his books again.
The fact that is told in only his POV was also a great point for me as I don’t usually read books like this or I just couldn’t find anything close to it.
I loved the humour and how real it felt. I liked how much it reflects our contemporary life style with the office jobs and what is expected from us from the society.
I liked how he wasn’t over the top about himself and knew his strength points as well as he’s flaws.
It is a really enjoyable book that I am already recommending to all my book friends.

A cozy read with a lot of cupcakes recipes that I’ll probably try in the future for sure, I was feeling hungry all the time lol .
As for the story overall, it was nice and interesting but felt a bit flat for me, don’t know it it was my moods or something else but it wasn’t as good as I expected. Good writing and characters but I just couldn’t connect with them.

New to me author and what a gripping story!
I really liked this book, enjoyed everything from the writing style that made me read and realised when I was more than half way through that I needed a break to gutter my thoughts on what I was reading and envisioned, to the characters that are so reliable and felt real, each one of them with their own insecurities, thoughts and past or present drama /angst.
There are a few twists and made me realised how much they were necessary for the story.
Who wouldn't be jealous or loose their beliefs in their other half when there are so many reasons to believe the worst of it.
That twists at the end was unexpected for me and I was all along wandering what happens next and what the author has in his sleeves for us

I really tried to like this book so much, i love the cover and being new to me author was an incentive to go blind and i like NA a lot as well. As much as i like a good story with a slow burn, this one was really really slow and honestly, i didn't see the point. It could have been a better one if it wasn't having so many descriptions of unnecessary things.
I couldn't see the chemistry really, i felt there was a bit forced at the beginning and the fact that 50% in the book they don't even interact much didn't help either.
Overall the writing was very good though and i will be reading other books by the author.

I've seen this book around a lot in the last months and i needed to see why the hype and everyone talking about it. So glad that i did it. Living in Europe ,we don't have the vision of what a colour person life is in America, just what we see on the news or in the movies,but this book is so good in describing what really happens from the point of view of one ex-con unnecessary incarcerated for a murder that he hadn't committed.

I really enjoyed this story and reading about all the things that we don't see as normal nowadays it was mind opening as well.
