I loved this book so much.
Egan come as a surprise for me as he was always in the back, we knew he’s there in the elite series but I didn’t knew where he came from and his origins made me love him even more. And after the first chapters when he cooked all the delicious food, I’m craving that as well.
He’s that alpha man who’s always present, always looking out for everyone around him and especially for the ones he trusts and loves. But he’s also this soft guy that has a big heart and loves the heroine with all his being.
Their love story is beautiful and steamy. There’s one particular scene that stays with me.
There’s suspense, there’s a growing relationship and there’s so much love.
The epilogue made me laugh out loud and reminded me why I love this series so much.

The cover and the hype from some of my friends made me request this book.
I’ve read 2 books by the author in the past and I knew more or less what to expect from her writing style and story type overall.
I enjoyed this grumpy sunshine romance. Being part of a duet, i wouldn’t call it a romance yet as there are many things that haven’t happened yet and it’s a very slow burn story.
He’s still hurt by their shared past and while she seems pretty happy, there’s a big secret that makes all the difference in the end. I found her being selfish for not coming upfront about her health issues earlier in the book but I also understand why she wanted to keep it for herself.
I’ll be honest, at this point after the way it ends, I don’t even know if I want to read the second book in the duet. I know it’s going to be much more heartbreaking and angsty and emotional. And I really hope for that happily ever after.

Arc review

This series is getting more addictive with each new story.
It has a lot of Clickbait (Netflix show) ideas and I loved it.

Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy through NetGalley

So good

4.5 stars

Ava is a master at writing angsty and steamy stories. When I’ve seen the blurb for Provoke I knew I’ll be in for a treat with this book.

And she didn’t disappointed at all. All the way throughout this story, Charles and Raven are fire and ice.

One doesn’t want to admit his attraction and the other won’t stand down just because he is at the top of his game.

It’s hard to work together when they are forced into close proximity at times but that also brings the best or worst of both. It all made for a great dialogue and sparks that catches fire on the page.

If you’re looking for a great romance story with chemistry and characters that make you wanting to high five or slap them at times, this is definitely a book for you!

And again I was tempted by a sexy af cover but this is not the case of high expectations and low results. On the contrary, I loved every single page of this book.

It’s raw in so many moments that I had to stop and take a deep breath because some of the topics in here are hard to read but the author has fulfilled my addiction to romance even in the hardest times.

They come from different worlds but are bound in more ways than expected and their love and chemistry is catching fire throughout the pages.
And I loved how each one gave themselves time to heal, that’s where my highest points go for this novel.

Addictive and heartbreaking beautiful love story.

I was so looking forward to this book and didn’t even read the blurb because I usually love the author’s stories with a passion but unfortunately, somehow, along the way it just didn’t do it for me. It’s too similar from some points with a story that I’ve read a few months ago and I just can’t get over it.
Enemies to lovers, a woman who founds herself captive in the middle of an unwanted world between two families wars. It’s still an enjoyable book that many readers will love for sure.

This is probably my favourite book by the author in the last years. I loved the interaction, suspense and steamy moments so much. It touched a few hard topics but they were very well done and I honestly recommend this book is you love a dark mafia romance and need a new author to start with.

I love when I find great reads through #kindleunlimited . The author’s books have been on my tbr for way too long and I’m upset with myself for not reading them earlier.

I’m a huge fan of romantic suspense and this book has ticked all my boxes when it comes to great character development, suspenseful story line and that happily ever after that I’m always looking for in any book.

Avalon ,aka Ava , has the ability to deduce facts about events by touching objects related to them. I found this fascinating and while I understand that not many people in real life have it, I wish I knew someone who can.

Jake feels guilty for the missing of his younger sister and he’s a great investigative detective.
I can’t say I always liked the way he acted but I totally understand why. He has a lot to overcome and also, his heart is at stake in here.

The secondary characters are well balanced and bring a lot to the story as well. I hope we will get Lynn’s story because she’s a real friend and I want her to find love.

The missing victims, the chase when more bodies show up, racing against a short time until the killer will strike again and the press always wanting to know more about their investigations, it all adds up to that adrenaline rush that I’m craving while turning the pages.

It’s a beautiful written, fast paced , suspenseful and addictive story. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves thrillers spiced up with romance moments.
