It was about time to read Ana’s backlog stories

Grumpy sunshine romance type , where the heroine annoyed me in places but it’s a good story overall

KU read

“Long shadows" is a great thriller that every lover of the genre must read it!
Amos Decker is a former detective that now helps police and detectives to investigate murders.

He is a wild character. Having to deal with a personal loss, a recovery from a long-time injury and the newest to adapt at working with a new colleague, it's proven to be a bit too much for him at times. But that doesn't impede him to give the best in what he loves to do and help out with the investigation.

A judge and her bodyguard are found dead in her home but something is not quite right in this crime. That/s why they have reasons to believe there are either more than one killer or what it looks like a different modus operandi.

I found myself engrossed in this story. From the many aspects of the victim's life to the scheme played by the old cases and how other officials are covering up those unresolved one.

It's all about money, blackmail, greediness, lots of suspense and a race against time to stop it happening again.

If you're looking for a fast paced, entertaining read with great characters and more than one twisted turn, look no further than this book.

When Celeste is facing the grief of loosing her best friend at such an young age, she decides to change something in her life. After finding Hannah’s New Years resolution, she decides to take it upon herself to make those happen in the memory of her friend.
I enjoyed this story. It’s heartbreaking and follows so many topics that are close to everyone’s heart. I loved that Celeste wanted to make something for her friend and tried within year to make it all happen. And soon enough, she’s discovering a new world for herself. The romance story was on a slow burn side but one that grows on you when least expected.
Beautiful writing and romance story.

Burning Cove series is, to my shame, one that I haven't got the time and chance to start until now. I love the author's books and she is one of my favourites when it comes to historical romance novel since I started reading then in my teenage years.
Set in 1930, Maggie Lodge has to hire a private investigator to find out who is blackmailing her employer. Sam Sage takes on the case and their start is quite a bumpy one, but soon enough , they get to know each other more and deeper feelings develop while they get closer to solving the case.
As usual, there are lots of paranormal element in the story and the description of some of Maggie's dreams are well portraited and felt real.
I enjoyed the description of the era with all the glamorous lifestyle and the setting itself.

Beautiful setting, a dash of suspense and a slow burn romance.

I love a great thriller and this one ticked all the boxes for me.
A retired cop is on the run from the spotlight and on a mission to reveal the actual killer of a LAPD’s officer. But not everything is as easy as it may seem. Finn will become an eyewitness without his will and from now on, things escalate quickly.

It’s a cat and mouse race , like hiding and seeking who the real person is behind everything and more over, why was Riley killer. Even if Munoz won’t be of much help as he has his own secrets to keep.

I loved this book. It’s suspenseful and full of intriguing characters and moments when I thought I knew what’s coming next but I was so wrong.

The author has created a world where the action is playing just like a movie, and that makes total sense because after reading the book, I actually checked the publisher’s note when we find out that the author is a big name as a screenplay writer for Hollywood.

I’m looking forward to see this book on the big or small screen because it deserves its own place along with the big ones out there.

Perfectly crafted, an intriguing and suspenseful book that will keep you up way to long on the night.

Audiobook

Ash and Brownlyn make quite the pair. A marriage of convenience, a swoon worthy romance and one that I have enjoyed a lot.
The banter and chemistry is on and off the page and I loved how much the family and the second characters play their part so much in the story.
Ash is looking after his 3 wards as they are his last connection to his mother.
Brownlyn is trying to get away from her parents and to make the most of her life.
Their marriage of convenience becomes much more with each new chapter when we get to know each one better and they start to develop so many feelings for each other.
I enjoyed it and I’m really looking forward to read the next books in the series because some of these characters have my full attention plus the gaming hell is always an interesting place.

Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy
