I love her books so much and I couldn’t pass the opportunity to read a new title in her standalone series.

The book promised a beautiful romance story with interesting characters, astronauts even, and some meddling parents. And that’s exactly what we get and more than that, actually.

The characters are so flawed and I love how reliable they still feel.

While their interactions made me shout out in the beginning, slowly they both realised that those feelings were not to be missed and their actions have to change.

The romance story is so beautiful, and steamy and exactly as I want it to be, just perfect.

From the meddling parents, to the social media pressure and the always supportive side characters.

One thing that I loved was when Hallie stood her ground in front of his father and she did not keep it quiet.

Communication is always important to me and it’s satisfying to see that they actually took time to say it all out when needed.

Beautiful, romantic and a must read story.

Kindle unlimited read

I enjoyed this series from the beginning to this last instalment.

Richard can be described as one of the best business executive and family man. If you have read the previous books, you know nothing comes without sacrificing a lot and without emotions and love. A love that grew with each phase in his life, from the moment he met Katy, to the moments they had their first children and everything in between.

While now he is in his retirement ages, there’s still so much that remained unknown to him from his early life.

I loved how in this book we get more of two in one story. The story between a father and his firstborn and the love story of that said child who now is a grown up woman making her own decisions and thriving in life.

So much frustration and anger that I would feel if I were Ashley. But luckily Luc was there for her along the way, and he never left. Neither Richard has.

Melanie has a way with words that touches me in the most beautiful ways. Her stories are always full of reliable characters, flawed ones even and so much emotion and heartwarming scenes.

If you have not read this series yet, I don’t know what are you awaiting.

Arc team review

You do not have to read the first books in the series as it can easily be read as a standalone.

The author provides a bit of background on the main characters and it helps to make a wide view of who they are and what’s their place is within the story.

A wedding couldn’t be more beautiful in an idyllic winter setting. But unfortunately, the ending is splashed by murder.

I enjoyed the previous stories and was looking forward to this new book.

Detective Walker is a character that grew out on me throughout the series and I wanted to see how quick he can resolve this new investigation.

The pace is much faster than the others and I liked that.

The side characters are a mix of good and bad and unreliable ones. They made the whole puzzle much more interesting and added character to the story.

I guessed pretty early on who the killer was, but that didn’t deter me from carrying on reading and exposing if my theory was right.

Captivating police procedural book. Looking forward to see what case DI Walker has to solve next.

What a great read !!!
I laugh-out-loud so many times,i suffered for them,i shouted-out-loud YESSS and NOOO so many times that my neighbour came knocking on my door asking if I was all right :)))
Can something go more wrong in ones life then having to bake the wedding cake for your best highschool friends that got together because he dumped you ? For our heroine that's what happening, her day got worse as while delivering the said cake, she has a run with a teenage skater and the worst is that she has to go back and bake another cake in only few hours so she can keep her business reviews and clients as she is always on time with all her commitments. Her jaw drops as she get to see who the father of the poor teenager is ,build like a tank, gorgeous like a god and rich like no one she has ever met. Despite all of it ,she stands her ground and don't get all in a puddle swooning for him as he may expect.
There are so many things happening in this story that you don't want to give up reading even if it's 3 am and you can barely keep your eyes opened.
There's a bit of everything,i love the writing style,i love how the characters grow with every new action taken, with every gesture and though ,the dialog between any of the characters make you feel like you are there, with them and want to intervein in their discussions or arguments or even slap them sometimes for being crazy or stupid for their decisions ,but nevertheless a great story. Ilove the attraction, the chemistry, the wooing ,both their insecurities and inner thoughts, the scenes in the bedroom and outside are hot, very hot.
Go get this book because you won't regret it.

It’s been a while since I’ve read one of the author’s books, and I’m glad I took another chance on her stories.
The story is full of unexpected moments, great characters and undeniable chemistry.
Ford is a man that has a big heart underneath that stone cold facade. He cares for his mother and his friends more than anything. And will do about anything and everything to make them happy.
When a chance encounter gets him face to face with the woman to whom he almost lost a bid , he needs to get away from her. But fate and his now ex personal assistant have other things in mind.
Workplace romance with lots of banter and that push and pull storm within each chapter, made this for a great read.
I’m looking forward to go back and read the first two books in the series now because I’m curious to know more about these characters and world.

Arc from The Smuthood

It was so good to go back to Green Valley and revisit this beautiful and so loved place.
I enjoyed meting old favourite characters and getting to know some new ones.
If you’re read this series before, you know that Hank is not a favourite character. He own the strip club and that makes people have many preconception thoughts. As his fame precedes him, it’s not hard to change the way he comes across anyone, especially when his attention is driven to an unexpected direction . And that direction is Charlotte.
Nothing is as it seems like in this story. And I loved all the ups and downs, all the frustration and emotions that he went through. Penny Reid has always created reliable and down to earth characters, good or bad.
Their chemistry is there and the story proves how love can be find in the most unexpected ways and places.

Ana has slowly become one of my top 5 favourite indie authors. I loved her Twisted series and couldn’t get more existing about this new one.

We have got some glimpses of Dante and Vivian in the past, and after I’ve read the description of their own story, I knew I was in for a ride.

Dante is a man of honour and will keep his word even when he is blackmailed.

Vivian just wants to live her own life without too much involvement from her parents or creating discussions about how she is dressed, or she is behaving. I just hated her mother so much. And her reasoning wasn’t enough for me to believe everything she said.

When their path crosses, I knew this is going to be an amazing enemy to lovers storyline. The chemistry and banter had me rooting for them at all times and when that spark catches fire, it was a full-blown of big proportions.

While Dante seems to be your perfect alpha and someone you do not want to cross paths with, he is much more than the eye can see and luckily, Vivian will see everything behind his armour.

Slow burn, steamy and suspenseful romance that is a must read.
