This is such a delightful story. The small town vibe is full on and the sweet romance makes it perfect for a quick summer read.
I love the mix of celebrity , sunshine heroine and grumpy hero. They just complimented each other in the best way.
He helps her live, even for a short time, everything that she’s missed for being in front of the light for so many years. And she’s just making him realise that there’s much more to life than responsibility and worries.
I recommend this book to all romantic hearts.

Years later, Sarah is going back to that hunted house that troubled her for years. Her mother’s dead story wasn’t so believable for her as everyone was trying to sell it.
Told from multiple narrators, the story was intriguing enough to make me want keep reading until I found out what’s actually happening.
The ending is not as much as a big twists as some may expect but one that was unpredictable for me.
The chilling parts where the house is hunted and some other more intense scenes brought up a lot of questions of who’s really behind everything. Because some clues were pointing to one character when in fact it was someone else altogether.
Entertaining and interesting read.

The Hope Affair by Jim Chambers is available now.
Over the years, I’ve read quite a few stories that included so much corruption and crime scenes. Many of these are always happening behind the scenes in real life, especially the ones about child trafficking and other odious crimes.
I must confess that few people know but I'm from many of the things that occurred in this story are real, unfortunately.
The author is a new to me one and his ability to write this book is definitely one to look up for in the future.
Right from the beginning, we get to know the strong characters and along the way, throughout the chapters, to empathise and wishing that you could help them more in this chase of discovering the bad apples at the highest rank in the government.
It is such a well-balanced plot that includes power greediness, honestly and romance as well. I think I liked that part of the personal life more than anything. It always makes me connect with the characters, makes them more reliable.
The hope affair is a story that’s not to be missed by any suspense readers.

I read the first book a few months ago and was curious to know what happened next as I usually hate cliffhangers .
While I’m not big into the love triangle, this story is told that makes you cease and wonder what's lying more under all these hidden secrets and political greediness.
It's interesting to see how everything evolves and the end felt a little rushed and not exactly what I was expecting. That being said, I enjoyed it for exactly those reasons, because I love when a book exceeded my expectations.

NetGalley arc
Where do I begin? I must admit that I couldn't believe my luck when my request was approved for this ARC.
It is been a year since I haven't read a Julie Garwood book and this story just reminded me why I love her books and writing so much.
Grace under fire is number 14 in the series. It can intimidate for someone new to start a series, but this one can be easily read as a standalone.
Throughout the story, we get glimpses into other character’s life from previous books and it all works out like a well-oiled machine. I would say there's no surprise in there as well.
It starts with a bang, and it catches your attention in seconds.
What was supposed to be a fun time with friends, becomes a police investigation.
Here comes the hero, Michael, one that completely stole my heart and made me have a stupid smile on my face throughout the book.
Isabelle is a fresh graduate and while she is still young and brings a lot of the new culture references, I found her entertaining and a heroine that can grow on you but by bit.
Their story starts slowly and keeps at the slow burn towards the end, sprinkled with some open doors scenes and all that build up tension I love in a romance book.
There are quite a few suspenseful scenes, as the cover shows as well.
Beautiful suspenseful romance story that many readers will enjoy immensely.
Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy

If you love James Bond type of thrillers, this one is definitely for you. I have read no other books by the author in the past, but this one makes me want to change that soon.
An ex government officer, now retired, but living his life simply in plain sight, is now implicated in a chase of life and death. The fast action never ceases in here from the first chapter to the last.
I loved we get to see another side of the main character as well, the one where he is a father and shows how much his daughter means to him.
The chase is unbelievable in some parts, but so well described that I really felt like being next to Dan and going through the same emotions and frustrations.
I can't wait to watch it on the screens now.

I haven't read many books by the author but I’ve seen this one recommended on here a lot and had to read it myself as well.
And what a ride this one was! I got goosebumps while reading this story and the more I was turning the pages, the more I had that dreaded feeling that something bigger was going to happen soon.
There were a few things that made little sense or just felt unbelievable, but overall the story flows smoothly and kept me engaged til the end.
It's a must-read book in other words.

We follow the months of an alcohol recovery addict and we know that some may experience blackout moments.
It's interesting to see how the main character realised that she should not have them anymore as that part of her life should be over.
There are quite a few twists in here and some are unbelievable to me.
But I loved how the author has created this story. Fiction gives you the tools and means to create a story that will always have things that aren’t credible to most of us.
The ending felt rushed, in my opinion. Overall, it is an interesting concept, and I was rooting for Maris to discover the truth.
