Know you by heart
Eden and Chris are just meant to be together. While their start is quite rocky, they really make it work.
For Chris, family and inheritance is everything and at the beginning, he is described as greedy and not carrying for anyone but himself. Throughout the book, he shows his true face, and I loved those parts.
There are different timelines in between the chapters. From the first moments they met to the nowadays married life when they both realise that this fake marriage has nothing to do with fake but real feelings.
Eden is a romance author and I love how she stands up for her time to write and single moments outside their relationship.
The family is very meddling, in both parts, but they are all in a good way and I loved to read about mixed cultures and interactions.
I’m looking forward to read the next books in the series because this is the second book that I’ve read and enjoyed by the author.

She did it again! Famous people, small town romance and all the drama that comes in between these scenes!
Garrett and Ami are more like grumpy sunshine type of person and it’s understandable as he tries to find refuge in the small town after being famous and tragedy strikes.
Their interactions were so hilarious in the beginning because Garrett only wants to be left alone, but Ami is working her magical ways to make him see that there’s more to life than that. Grief is good and necessary, but life goes on and these two will make that road to happiness much smoother.
Add in a Slow burn story, chemistry in spades and meddling gossiping town and you’ll get a great romance book that many readers will enjoy as much as I have.

Unpopular opinion overall.
I read other books by the author and really enjoyed them.
The younger wife, though, went over the top with many topics/issues for my liking and enjoyment in here. I know that maybe that’s why this is a must read story because it will bring so many questions to be discussed and shared.
I can’t go over the fact that while we really want more reliable stories in our life, there are some that make me feel so bad for actually promoting patriarchy and how the men are perfect and everyone still believes and follows their demands. All while the women in his life are just normal and stupid and I don’t even know how to name it anymore.
Kleptomania, Alzheimer's disease, the creepiness of having your adult daughter as bridesmaids while you marry a woman that has the same age as them… so many other unbelievable things…
Yes, it’s great written and keeps you intrigued by the overall plot because you want to know what’s happening in here, but I won’t say that I actually enjoyed this book.

Flo and Dylan are a “mismatched” couple in the eyes of their families and friends. They both have work jobs that won't fulfill their passions and live in a not so nice flat.
While some characters were fleshed out great with their reliable struggles and difficulties in moods and feelings, I felt like some others were just like caricatures and added in to put the spotlight more on the main characters.
I love a good romantic comedy and this one was great in showing that many times, as adults, people have to live with the pressure of their close circle and their way to fame and succeeding in their dreams and career is not always as easy as it seems. The consequences for this couple were to break up, but that love wouldn't let them live it up.
I enjoyed this story and I’ve read his previous book so I knew I was in for a treat with The fake up.

And one of the best authors like that is Penny Reid for me. I was captivated with bits and small scenes about Dan the security man years ago and thus, I’ve read everything she has ever written.
Perhaps Some will argue about learning from the main characters in a fictional story, but over the years, Reid has made me stop and think twice about my close friends and relationships and how I would actually need to feel around them.
“Ten trends to seduce your best friend” is no exception. Winnie and Byron have my love eternally. They are like yin and yang, two different halves, with their own person, feelings and dreams and life overall, totally opposite piece that can't exist one after the other because they match so perfectly together. I loved the fact that we get dual pov and while Byron’s are lesser than Winnie’s, his inner thoughts and feelings just balances everything out.
A slow burn that is hard to put down, this romance book is way more than that, it's a must read story of friendship and acceptance and love, one that comes with everything in between, from challenges to social pressure, from fear of opening up to trust and of course, from a tiny spark that will catch fire in seconds to a well deserved happily ever after.
I'm not good at using big words in my review but I would use all the superlatives from the dictionary for this story.

I’m a sucker for second chance romance and this one ticked all my boxes for a great story overall.
I haven’t read any of the author’s books before so I didn’t knew what to expect but I will go back and read the first one in the series now because this one was so good.
I loved the chemistry and emotions that both Max and Zoe showed throughout their time together.
A fake relationship is always fun to read how it slowly develops into something more, into that love that blooms whether they want to accept it immediately or not.
Sizzling with chemistry and great dialogue, One more chance is a must read story for any romance reader.

I love even more to read about what happens behind the curtain where many of these actors and people in the industry think they can hide anything from any prying eyes.
Private investigator Aloysius Archer has no fear in finding out what happened when his now employed, Eleonor Lamb, is missing after he stumbled on a dead body in her house.
In true Baldacci style, the suspenseful moments kept me intrigued throughout the book and each chapter made me quests who was the actual culprit for these turns and twisted pieces of a bigger picture.
I haven't read the previous books in the series, but I felt I could read this one with no issues as a standalone novel.
I really liked Aloysius. He doesn't back up a second and is not afraid to rub elbows with more dangerous people and with the elite of Hollywood. I also enjoyed the romance parts because I’m a big romantic at heart and I will always look up for those small scenes where the main characters act on their own story and share feelings and emotions that otherwise hide in their professional fields.
Another must read novel with all the glam and darker spark of the 50s.

The first book ended with Rossel being taken prisoner in a work camp in the Arctic Circle.
Nikitin, the major who incarcerated him, is ready to negotiate his freedom for finding a criminal on the loose in Leningrad.
Rumor has it that there’s a legendary villain that is hunting veterans and torture them by cutting their tongues and other unthinkable practices.
I’ve always heard about not trusting anyone around you, not even your family members. All because the government has ears and eyes everywhere. And many scenes in the story seem to be taken out of the cruel reality that was hidden behind an iron curtain, unfortunately.
I really enjoyed this second installment in the series and I’m looking forward to read more in the future.
It’s twisted and gripping, with many unlikable characters but with a cruel dose of reality.

I enjoyed it more than expected, with all the triggers and ups and downs of a great book, all the darker moments and angsty scenes, all the beautiful things that can bring childhood friends back together after some hard years of trying to find themselves.
