I love reading books set where I live and to see so many places that I come across in my daily life. Brighton and West Sussex are one of the most beautiful places in England, but that doesn’t mean that crimes are not happening here.
Peter James is a must read author and while his stories are fiction related, they always call for an awareness of what happens around us.
Fast-paced, methodical police procedural, with so many twists and turns that have put my imaginations and theories at try. I loved how everything comes together and how there are so many tidbits of psychology throughout the pages. I didn’t trust the husband for one moment. I always felt like something was amiss, and some characters picked my interest quite a bit. Everyone had something to hide, and the detectives unveiled some secrets in the most unexpected way.
Left you dead is another must-read and suspenseful book that many readers will enjoy as much as I did.

"This story is for those who have been hurt, trampled, bullied, battered, or used and have had the courage to move forward--I salute you." (D. K. Hood)
Obsessed with this series. I love the characters and each book brings more insight into their life and more into their past and what made them me what they are today.
I wouldn't look back at all either. The story starts with a rush of adrenaline and doesn't stop till the last page. As in any investigation book, there's a lot to take in and here maybe even more since there's talk about human trafficking especially kids , drugs and mafia's deals.
I loved the attitude of taking no bs from nobody in our heroine and i can't wait to see what the author has in store for us in the future.

A Cinderella retelling and romantic comedy at full blast, with a make up artist that just does her magic and transforms our heroine in the main character of any play, and so many laugh out loud moments that my face hurt and had to take a break from it.
It’s a slower start as we get to know a bit more about these characters and their life but it’s so worth it to keep reading because in no time I was drawn into this beautiful story.
I loved other books by the author and I’m looking forward to more in the future. She’s becoming one of my must read authors.

I love this book so much! Especially Posey, she’s the kind of heroine that I’m always looking forward to read in any story.
She doesn’t lower herself just because other people think she should and especially not in front of Brent.
I love how the author is bringing so much reality in this fictional story and the characters are so reliable. All the banter, emotions and “drama” are so on point and many times I felt like I was there with them, like in reality and I was part of that story.
Brent messed up a lot but he accepted his mistakes and redeemed himself as best as he knew. I love that in a character and I hope I’m growing up my son to be that type of man in the future.
Lattes and orgasms are surely a great way to spend your free time in between exams.
Loved it so much and can’t recommend this story enough!

The perfect home where there’s absolutely nothing perfect in this house. From a main character, June , that is more of a doormat person to her ex husband, entitled at all her life even if he left, to her children that while actually behave more or less as most of today’s young adults, add her new neighbour of hell with all his antics and drama.
It was interesting to see si many scenes and how Jane will feel and react but I personally couldn’t feel anything for her.
As for the story overall, there’s not much I can say. It’s gripping in parts but also felt flat in others for me.
Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy

I'm a huge fan of Eve and Roarke, and read quite a few books in this series over the years.
It's no surprise that I loved this one as much as I did all of them. Eve is one of the few heroines that I would want to have a real-life friend just like her.
She's smart, concise and also human. All her cases are so well developed and not even once I felt like dragging while reading them.
I was cheering on her to find the two missing women after that open up scene. I loved how an old case was intertwined with this new one and how everything just unfolded with each new chapter.
Suspenseful and addictive, another must-read story from a lifelong favourite author.

I haven’t read the previous book by the author so I went in blind here not knowing what to expect from the author.
I enjoyed the story overall to be honest but there are many moments, especially towards the end when it becomes annoying. Her indecisive thoughts and what she actually wants to do with her life, who to choose from both them, just didn’t work well with me. And I totally understand why she had all these feelings.
Was he my final choice as well as hers?
No, I just felt like maybe it would’ve been better to stay alone .
Some might hate this book, some might love it, but it’s a good story that needs reading nevertheless.

I just finished reading it and my feelings are a bit all over the place.
I felt bad for Katy and the relationship that she had with her mother. I loved the Italian setting description and I can totally see everything vividly through the author’s prose.
While it was a bit confusing why all those things happened there, I have to say that I don’t agree with many of Katy’s choices. I’ve cheered her up on finding why her mother loved it so much but what happened there, her actual choices? It really put a bad taste in my mouth, especially after Eric came to holiday with her and everything carried on like nothing happened.

Evil intent is a great police procedural story, part of a series that I have only read this one, book number 4. It can easily be read as a stand-alone with no problem in finding out who are the main characters.
DCI Helen is an interesting character that has to balance her personal life and her job as a detective.
When more young women are found dead with a specific mark, they have to look up for a serial killer that is not leaving them that many clues.
It's an interesting story overall, and I enjoyed seeing that many times the people in the investigation aren't solely focused on solving the crime but are compassionate about the victim's families as well.
Looking forward to read more by the author soon. Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy through NetGalley
