Family drama, steamy scenes and a love that’s not actually for beginners but a true one nevertheless.
I loved it and the way Jill Shalvis created this world, full of interesting and down to earth characters, is everything that I craved for my contemporary romance heart.
Their interactions and inner monologues are so great and many times I found myself laughing out loud or having to stop reading because it really made me feel more than just a reading chapter, it’s emotional and heartbreaking but heartwarming at the same time. That happily ever after is well deserved after all that bumpy road.
I can’t wait to read more in this series and I couldn’t recommend this book enough.

The family tree was my first book by the authors and I can only say WOW! What have I just read?
I must admit that I am tempted to check out some DNA tests although I know it won’t give much insight into my family history as it’s pretty simple and known back home. After reading the blurb of this book I had to read it asap. It’s so much more than I expected.
After doing a DNA test, Liz finds out that she’s actually adopted and goes on a hunt for finding out who are her actual parents and what happened that they had to give her up. Right away, a FBI team shows up at her door and she finds out that someone from her past is a killer and they have them under strict supervision.
This should make her take a step back, but she’s determined to find out the truth on her own.
The story is fast-paced and told in chapters between Liz and her friend travels and the killer’s side of the story.
It’s gripping, shocking in places and draws you in at all times. A must read thriller for sure.

Her last breath by Hilary Davidson is one of my favourite books of the year so far.
I was lucky enough to read an arc back in February and just reread it again this weekend. I loved it.
From the first chapter to the last, I couldn’t stop reading, I’ve held my breath so many times and now I know for sure that this book is going to my all-time favourites thrillers.
Gripping, addictive and so suspenseful, so challenging and lots of unexpected twists ( especially the last vampire bite) so many emotions and heart. Loved the closure with the family members and how much Deidre won’t give up to her beliefs.
There are so many elements that go hand in hand in here, from psycho to police procedural and criminal investigation. Just perfectly done. I can’t recommend it enough!

The burning girls by Rita Herron is indeed a page turner novel.
I was hooked from the beginning to the end and wanted to know where will the author take me with this story, especially after our heroine finds out that she’s adopted and wants to find herself in this life.
I must say that I found the crime scenes that she investigated quite disturbing but very well described and I felt that i was there watching it with my own eyes.
I enjoyed it and it’s a great thriller for any readers that live spending their afternoon lost in a great book.

Over the years I’ve had a lot of hit and miss relationships with the authors books. I don’t know if it’s my moods or what’s happening but I loved this book so much.
From e beginning to the end, there wasn’t any dull moment for me while reading it.
I enjoyed the writing, the inner thoughts, the dialogue and interactions between all the characters and more than anything, the romance side. It’s not perfect as nothing is perfect in life, but it’s perfect for these characters and that’s why I love it so much.

I’ve read this book last year when was firstly published in the anthology and loved it. Today I’ve reread it because I needed to remind myself why the Duke was so “dirty”. I rarely read age gap romance but this one was just perfectly done. It had me laughing out loud and also wanting to smack or kiss the duke for his second thoughts about Violet.
A must read steamy historical romance that I highly recommend.
