Ok, so I picked this up after hearing Jane Lindsey talking about it on her channel, and lord, let me tell you, I was not expecting that level of steaminess *Fans face dramatically*

This is, hands down, the smuttiest book I have ever read. Normally that is 100% not my thing, but I was so here.for.it. The writing wasn't great, very simplistic and kind of basic (TBH, read a lot like fan fiction), but sometimes you need something a little more laid back and light to read.

At first I was like, 'Oh, this is just you basic steamy "romance" type read". Graphic sexual content, lots of descriptions of the characters perfect bodies and how great they all are as people. Cool, a lot of gratuitous banging, I can get on board for that. BUT THEN, you guys, they support each other emotionally. Like, actually support each other, not just declare their love, but build solid foundations of trust, friendship and respect. It moved beyond the physical and really established a relationship between these characters, that I was not expecting.

Now, I can not speak to the polyamory rep, there was nothing about it that struck me as problematic, although I would love to see some own voice poly reviews. And it seemed to be respectful in most regards. I mean, it could be seen as fetishism, I guess, but it really did not strike me as so.

The other thing that really struck me was the continuous practice of safe sex. The fact that it was discussed, and the use of protection was graphically stated (at each encounter, not just once to 'get it out of the way'). There was one encounter that did make the practice of safe sex more about avoiding pregnancy, which I was not crazy about (I think it is important to be mindful that that is only one factor in being safe sexually), but I do have to be mindful about holding this book to to higher standard.
Although I am only giving this a three star review, I was really impressed with many aspects, and if some smutty smut is yo thing, you 100% should check this out.

I LOVED the art style, everything was so freakin cute! And I wanted to love the story more than I ended up doing. Loved the overall themes, the plot and the charactors, it was just the writing that let it down for me - that and the mad disconnect between the opening page (and catalyst for the story) and the ending.
It was one of those "WTF" endings :(

4.5
I loved this, but the last two chapters bought the overall rating down - not exactly rushed, just a different pacing to the rest of the book.
