The setting and atmosphere was the best part of this book for me, and it felt very immersive. Reading this book felt like reading or hearing about a folktale. The romantic aspects of the book were okay, but I did like how the love triangle served to show the character growth of the main character. In terms of the plot, really the main character getting to see
her mom again
was the highlight. I just wish there had been more to the ending, it felt a little abrupt.

I'm going to be a little sad if this is the last one in the series, because I think this was the best one so far. The plot felt ridiculous and chaotic in the best way, and the tone of this book felt the closest to the first seven Artemis Fowl books. I loved the references (and even cameos) from the original series being present without ever feeling like they distracted from the plot at hand.

I loved this just as much as the first book! The story went in a few directions that were unexpected but pleasantly surprising. I just think its cruel for the book to end on THAT cliffhanger when we don't even know the release date of the third book yet...but I will be eagerly waiting.

I didn't love it quite as much as the first one, but overall it was still mostly enjoyable.

This was definitely not my favorite Adiba Jaigirdar; I was feeling meh throughout and any commentary or chance to go deeper into the story ultimately felt surface level. The Titanic as a setting felt underutilized to me. For the characters, I preferred Hinnah and Emilie significantly to the other two charcters and wished I had gotten to see more of their backstory and character growth. And yet, the ending still had me feeling really emotional, surprisingly.

I'm not a regular thriller reader, but this was so much fun to read! I ended up reading it all in one sitting. The "book within a book" concept is probably always going to be a win for me, and I liked how it was done here. I know the ending has been hit-or-miss for people, but I personally really enjoyed it and what it may imply about "the author" Hannah's motivations for ending it that way.
