Edit: The Harper Collins strike has ended; review is now added in
The setting and atmosphere was the best part of this book for me, and it felt very immersive. Reading this book felt like reading or hearing about a folktale. The romantic aspects of the book were okay, but I did like how the love triangle served to show the character growth of the main character. In terms of the plot, really the main character getting to see
her mom again
was the highlight. I just wish there had been more to the ending, it felt a little abrupt.

In solidarity with the HarperCollins Union, I will not be posting a rating or a review of The Ghost Bride here on Storygraph or anywhere else until HarperCollins proves that they care about their workers and listens to the demands of the Union, and until the strike is over. When the strike is over, I will then edit this review with my thoughts about the book.
