A fun, guaranteed enjoyable read! Olive and Ethan were fun to follow and the setting was just perfect (especially since it's winter)! Like most romances, there's the miscommunication trope, but here, it works. And works well. Easily my favorite Christina Lauren!
This may have bordered on too weird for me. It was short, smutty, and super fast paced, but I didn't particularly like the characters, even if they had good chemistry.
It also may have been too short. Sure there are other books in the series, but nothing occurred here that made me want to keep reading.

Loved the artwork and liked the story well enough too. However, since I didn't know much about Captain Marvel, the Marvel universe, or these characters, I did get a tad lost here.
Psst, you want to hear a confession real quick?
I haven't read Winter yet...or Stars Above.
But, that's OK, because spoilers don't bother me, and I assumed all of the major characters from the books would come out of that series unscathed. Cause, fairytale retellings ya know?
I really liked getting this Iko viewpoint and continuation of the story. The art and coloring of this graphic novel is absolutely stunning, and I wouldn't mind getting more of these side stories of this world in the future.

No matter how many times I read this story, I always discover something new. This time it was all the foreshadowing. Every Heart a Doorway is brilliant, beautiful, and my favorite of the series (I think). The characters are some of my favorite in any fantasy (YA or otherwise). They're written so exceptionally well. Each character feels important to the story, and when there's under 200 pages, that's an impressive feat!

Why'd you all let me wait so long before reading this? It was fantastic! The characters were well thought out and had genuine growth in such few pages that it actually caught me off guard. The plot was good and the setting was something I hadn't read before.
I thought for sure something would be lacking, but it all just worked so incredibly well.
And of course because I loved this one so much, I bought the others and have pre-ordered book 4. I'm pretty obsessed with these worlds that Seanan McGuire has created and am now planning on reading her entire backlist because of it!

I've read where this is a lot of people's favorite of the 3 books currently, and I can understand why. For me, this setting was everything! The Moors was eerie and dark and just what you expect from every horror movie ever. I think it's easily my favorite portal world so far (though I think I'd love The Halls of the Dead just as much if we ever get to see that world fully).
I loved the characters and their relationships with each other. They're so flawed, and the Moors are completely unforgiving when it comes to mistakes.

What an enchanting and beautiful story. I loved Tobias and Henry and Bramble and Pearl so very much. The setting was fantastic (I need more ancient Woods in my life).
Looking forward to reading the next book and any others that this author writes in the future!

Well this was a ride! I liked the MCs and a couple of the side characters, and I was so happy that family trees or I'd have been super lost (I still was, there were just so many POVs/storylines). I liked how this ended, and while I know there's more to the story, I don't think I'll be continuing with the story.
Just really kinda like where and how this ends.

Still such a powerful perspective on society which I absolutely recommend everyone read at least once. I listened to it this go around as an audiobook. I loved the narration and re-exploring this story. The thing that struck me most that I definitely missed the first go around was the introduction (since I may or may not skip a lot of introductions to books) explaining how Animal Farm is a fairy story. I cannot unhear that now. It will stick with me always.
I liked most of this - the setting of Hill House was exquisite! So haunting and creepy, with elements of eerie beauty, Jackson knows how to weave a tale, for sure.
I also really liked the plot and what the characters faced, I just didn't like the characters.
They were obnoxious and annoying and I wished for their demise more than once. I spent most of this rooting for the House, and I'm not sure I was supposed to.
