This book gave me chills! I smiled many times and felt very encouraged. 

It was good y’all! Think Harry Potter meets Hunger Games with a few more adult scenes. Not necessarily smut, but def adult context in a couple parts of the story. A fun ride, with an ending that makes you say “wait, what?!?”  

What a fun book! I know nothing about cosplay and def had to Google it at the beginning of the book, but it sounds so fun! Add in the truest of love stories along with a reality tv show and it was a sweet, encouraging read. Nothing crazy literary, no pensive thoughts required; just a lighthearted read that made me smile. 

So. Good! I partially had this one figured out, but not 100% until all was revealed. A page turner for sure! 

This is the first LGBTQ+ book I have read in its entirety and I enjoyed it. The book shows the lavish/falsified lives of the rich and famous and how they handle always living in the spotlight amidst their sexual orientation throughout several decades. It’s a story of love and I thought it was really well done. 

I’m gonna get crucified for this: I struggled with this book, but only because I like linear reads. This book felt like a bunch of short stories that, together, made up a very sweet story about the life of Ove. But it didn’t really hold my attention due to its scattered presentation. 

I think I made a mistake. I read this book after reading Wild by Cheryl Strayed.  I was hoping for the same kind of insightful monologue that Strayed offered in her book, only this time, focused on the AT, which is where I live and have hiked as well. 
Instead, I found this tale focused on the negative aspects of the AT and the people living in the surrounding areas all along the AT. It was overly sarcastic and simply not what I was hoping/expecting. 

So sweet! What a fun idea to combine online dating and the 23AndMe hype to create dating profiles. Would def read again. 

I really liked story of fate vs choices. It may have been a little easier to follow with chapters labeled for each choice/lifetime, but otherwise it was very enjoyable. 

Who doesn’t love Matthew McConaughey?? Who doesn’t love his voice and accent?? I recommend reading his memoir via audiobook so you can hear him laugh and try out different accents, it was fun! Very cool to learn of his background and why he went for certain career paths/movies. I feel like this was a book for those who love to read People Magazine and learn all about that Hollywood life. Not super deep, but mildly entertaining.
