I really enjoyed the neuroscience part of this book. However, I found the child’s responses were a bit scripted and not what happens in real life. 

Holy family drama! I loved it! I find it so fascinating to read about other families and how they function/came to be. Also, to be transparent, I did not read the summary of Malibu Rising, so I did not know what the book was going to be about. I simply knew it was written by TJR and that I’ve loved all of her other books. This wasn’t my favorite, but still enticing and highly recommendable. 

This story develops into multiple layers starting with the first page! By the end of the book my brain was all scrambled, which I enjoyed. However, I feel like it could’ve been a little shorter. Several parts felt dry and unnecessary for the story. 

This was the first parenting book that didn’t have me rolling my eyes.  I found this book to be incredibly encouraging as opposed to the “do this, not that” style of parenting books. It’s based on love and positivity and, dare I say, realness. I love how she acknowledged that you can and will mess up, but you can start over again. 

This book made me so sad! I felt the main character was more worried about her romantic life than she was about a trip to Paris with her sick mom.  Unfortunately, it wasn’t what I was hoping it would be.

Crucify me, but out of the Ali Hazelwood’s Love Hypothesis Trilogy, this book, (the final book), Love Theoretically, was my least favorite. It didn’t feel as “STEMish” as The Love Hypothesis or Love on the Brain.  However, this book did have the most spice, in my opinion. 

A fun STEM book, but not as good as The Love Hypothesis, in my opinion.

This book was just okay. No real big highlights for me, but no real lowlights either. A typical summer love story from kids to adults. Although, I’m a 1980’s baby and did enjoy all of the Dirty Dancing references. 

Abby Jimenez can basically do no wrong!! Another 5 star review from me. This book had me hooked from the start! What fun and lovable characters and a plot that discusses real life issues. Strong work AJ! 

I think if you were into the show Duck Dynasty, then you’d probably really enjoy this book. It tells a little more about the lesser known characters from the show. If you didn’t watch/like the show, this probably isn’t a book you’d enjoy. But it’s a quick read if you decide to give it a go.
