When I started reading this book I felt a little disappointed that it seemed to be very YA. Granted, the characters are seniors in high school, I know I know - I’m just being honest here. Anyway, about halfway thru I couldn’t put it down!  I loved it! I loved the playlist and the quotes at the beginning of each chapter that were mostly from 90’s romcoms. It was a wonderful book that gave all the 90’s romcom feel good moments. 

Morbid? For sure! Palatable? Also yes. Educating? For sure! 

This book was so intriguing.  We’re all going to die, might as well be educated on the subject. And this book does just that, with a sense of humor and humility.  

This book was a Hallmark Christmas movie in book form! So sweet and indulging. As I was reading I was getting Dirty Dancing vacation vibes mixed with Lindsay Lohan’s Parent Trap vibes. 

I read this book because I am a pediatric hematology/oncology nurse and I am interested in the thoughts and processes of my patient’s family members. What do they see?  How do they think of me and other staff at the hospital?  I struggle with death and what to say after losing a patient or a loved one, I’m the queen of saying the wrong thing.  I guess I was hoping maybe this book would be one I could recommend to families after a devastating loss. Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t. I guess it would depend on their feelings in that moment. 

This book wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t realistic, like, at all!  It’s a cute idea, but I just don’t understand how anyone could just randomly start texting a wrong number alllllll those kinda things. It kept my attention tho and I enjoyed it, I just had to use my suspension of disbelief. 

I’ve always loved Leah Remini and I will continue to do so!  I’ve never looked into Scientology much except to know that Tom Cruise is a follower and that Leah made a docuseries on when she left Scientology (at least I think that’s what it was about, I didn’t watch it).  Anyway, this book was mind blowing!  So cray!  And the part about her giving birth to her daughter (and afterwards) had me laughing so hard!  She’s hilarious!  I highly recommend the audiobook version, read by Leah herself. 

Meh. I love a good data driven psych read, even more so as a memoir; however this one was super short and a little empty. It’s hard to “judge” memoirs. 

I’m really enjoying the Beartown series. This one was didn’t hit as hard as the first for me, but was still good and thought provoking. 

I was very excited to read a Beauty and the Beast mirror novel, but it just didn’t the deliver the way I hope it would. At times the story dragged just a little and I felt it could’ve been a little shorter. However, I still enjoyed the book, just not as much as the first in the series. 

This book was so fun! A mixture of Cinderella and The Bachelor and Project Runway. If that sounds fun, this is a book for you.
