This is a must read for all healthcare workers. We all can get caught up in our daily tasks and sometimes forget how the patient or their family may feel, I know I have. This book helps to see the patient and will stick with me for a long time.
‘Twas a long one, but goodness! That ending! So good. So so good!
I listened to the audiobook and feel like the physical book might’ve been a better read. I got confused with the timelines sometimes and found myself rereading to find my center again. However, Carly Robins does a fantastic English/British accent, reminded me of characters from older Disney movies!

I read this book because I’m a pediatric oncology nurse and I thought it’d be eye opening to see what cancer is like from the patient’s perspective, even though it’s fiction. What I found is that kids are so mean! I guess that’s one thing that will never change, unfortunately. But it was a good YA book.
