I really loved this! Brought in some interesting & more serious topics that I don’t often see in a romance novel. We all know I love a romance more than anything, but I need to stop reading beautiful love stories like this one when I’m in a long distance relationship- it was so good it made me so sad for myself lol

People have been telling me to read this for quite literally 10 years and now I understand why! Honestly, I’m glad I didn’t read this in high school because I was way too boy crazy and would’ve made it my entire personality. It’s great and I’m excited to continue the series, but it’s very YA, hence a 3.5 star rating

This book was really good, and not what I expected. I enjoyed the scientific & sort of investigative parts of it the most, but I did not enjoy how VIOLENT it was! It presented a really difficult moral question- part of me wants to discuss with other people but I think I’d just get frustrated by that

I recognize that this is technically a good book but my goodness is it boring. Felt like I was in high school English class, although I do love reading about music

This was fine, didn’t draw me in in the way I wanted it to. There were a lot of traits of the protagonist that I think were meant to be like “she’s a strong independent woman” but just made her seem like a pick me girl? Very cute overall, although I didn’t exactly see similarities to Taming of the Shrew other than her being kind of annoying lol

I understand why everyone loves this- it’s beautiful and I am certain it’ll be considered a classic in the future (totally could’ve seen myself reading this in high school English class) but it’s so boring lol
