This was a fun read overall. I enjoyed the concept... think Pokemon blended with ghostbusters, in a library environment. I liked the two main character friends too. It felt a little disjointed though... this may be because it was an unfinished copy, and/or because I was reading this on an e-reader. The art style was lovely!

I was recommended this thriller manga by a fellow book tuber and it certainly did not disappoint! I enjoyed the setting and although the plot was pretty straight forward it was well done, and quite suspenseful. It was an entertaining read and I also enjoyed the art style. The style complemented the plot line and setting effectively and helped with the suspense building. I will absolutely be watching out for more from this author and artist.
The only thing that stopped this being a 5 star was that I predicted what the outcome would be and where that isn't always a star dropper, in this case I feel like anyone who reads thriller's will predict it quite easily.

I love the commentary on the publishing industry and it feels very authentic... like it could be a real life story. This is such an easy read too... I'm gobbled this up it but didn't feel like I missed anything at all, and I'm doing other tasks while listening too. Such an easy, fun, sweet, thoughtful book to read
This was my first read from this author and it will absolutely not be my last! This was such delicious build up to a climax that left me questioning my own sanity. I was so drawn in by the characters that I was both screaming at them and empathising. All the way until the final moments you (as the reader) can see what's happening. You suspect that all is not well, but the true extent is mind-blowing. Although the ending mirrors other books in the same vein, it still feels very unique and the final, final twist is gut wrenching!!! Highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys knowing more than the main character and loves the squirmy feeling in your stomach building deliciously, with an ending that leaves you questioning your own morals.

As soon as I read the synopsis of this one I was excited to read it! It did not disappoint at all. I will absolutely be continuing this series. I really enjoyed the characters.. they were well fleshed out and as the book went on that only became more so. The mystery was absolutely the centre point and it's been a while since I have been this hooked into a mystery. Did I figure it out?... no, no I did not. Did I try to work it out?.. maybe.
It felt very golden age vibes even though it was mostly set in a modern setting... it just had that je ne sais quoi that a golden age mystery has. I did also have access to the audio arc too and so immersive read this title. The audio was well done too and complemented the characters and the plot very well.
The only aspect that stopped this from being a 5 star read for me, was that there was a small romance sub plot that I didn't really think was necessary and just felt like it was there to satisfy the potential romance readers that could be drawn to this title.

I really enjoyed the characters, the environment and most of the plot. However, I found I got lost off a couple times and the magic wasn't magicking for me.

This was such a sweet, lovely story! I really loved the couple and the tongue in cheek humour. The writing flowed nicely too. I did grab the audio to immersive read this and I would recommend just eye ball reading this one. The audio narrator had a very annoying use of breath throughout this book. There was great representation of all the pronouns and how normal it is... it wasn't a showy representation which was lovely. My only negative apart from the narrator for the audio, is that it read like a new adult rather than an adult. I think if it was advertised as a new adult it would allow readers to go in with a more accurate expectation.

This book is a story set in a world 100 years post viral take over. However, I wouldn't say that it is particularly triggering for those sensitive to post epidemic plot lines. It did feel very different because of the unique nature of the epidemic.
The opening chapter drew me in and was actually super creepy and intriguing. Although this is not a perfect book I do recommend it overall. It was really interesting and actually the flaws were very much something that indicated to me how into the story I was. I really just wanted more description and time in certain moments of the story. Sometimes there were moments that were so quick that I had to go back and re read as I was getting confused with where people came from or went too. I think that these things could have been sorted easily with a little more development time.
Another, point I want to make is that I am predominantly a character driven reader. I think that it is a sign of a great plot that I didn't care about any of the characters particularly, and still wanted to keep reading. I would say this was in parts a 3 star read for me, but the starting chapter and the final 30% really brought the rating up for me. I liked the interesting concepts and mirroring of real life stuff, in a world that feels very much how our world could go in this situation. I also found this book really quotable and if I had a physical copy of it, I would absolutely have been highlighting a bunch. The twists were really good too... again, especially in the last 30%.
I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a gory horror, enjoys a twisty plot, and likes to think about the human condition and how it is affected by the world around us and vice versa.

This is a great resource for people who are questioning their sexuality, and/or what it is to be LGB with a little about T. I enjoyed reading this.
