I liked this. It rekindled my interest in the series. And having read the next full-length novel, it connects the two storylines well. We get introduced to a future main character and get a glimpse for how Lagrimarian refugees were/are living and being treated in Elsira. Plus a bit more background on Jack. This wasn't what I was expecting . It was cute and heartwarming, but also heartbreaking and still hopeful.

Hmm, kinda interested but not compelled to go on. Not a fan of the random stretching. That art look creeps me out. Kamala is cute, funny and relatable. The plot was kinda ridiculous though. We shall see.

4.5 stars. The plot thickens. I have so many questions. I definitely need to read more of these to get a better grasp of the world. But I can better tell people apart here. And there are new intriguing characters.

some things I liked more than Sheets, others I liked less.

I liked the art style. And the choices the adapter made for this recreation.  A nice refresher. Or for a first read you get the overall plot points and characterization. Minus the prejudices.
