Wow, I did not expect where this story went until about halfway through. I went into this totally blind. The artwork is not my taste but it fits the locations. It's like a Van Gogh style. And then towards the end it lent itself well to the intensity of the plot. Otherwise,  I loved the characters from the beginning. Especially the brothers. The facial expressions and the text brought out a lot of emotion in the story. That twist caught me totally off guard but after that it became somewhat predictable. But one thing that wasn't was Rowan seeing through their mother finally. I really did enjoy this

I didnt hate this but i didnt love it either. Tyler was an interesting character, as was the majority of the supporting characters. There a lot of great reflections about God, Catholicism, how people interpret the Bible and various people'  relationship with God and sin. The family aspect was really well written. I also felt Poppy and Tyler had good chemistry. Definitely insta love which took away from the seriousness of the taboo for me. Majority of this book Poppy came off sus to me. Literally until the end I thought she was playing him for some reason.  I wish this wasn't erotica because all the church similes and catholic references in the sex scenes got annoying quick. I also feel like the sex scenes got in the way of the more interesting ones regarding their relationship with each other and God. I also think this series is very much what a woman thinks men think which is obvious given its a female author but it got quite ridiculous at times.

Another mixed bag of chapters. Not bad but it holds my attention less. After all the buildup, the confrontation with "Desmond" was meh. Understandably so. Looking forward to seeing Yor's next job.

I didn't read the extra story included as I wasn't really interested. I took longer with this one partially because I was scared of the outcome. But it all turned out positively. Things make sense too. I'm really thinking what can these two manga after this possibly be about.

I enjoyed this thoroughly. It was sweet, just what I wanted. Xiomara and Calehan make a great couple. There was a third act break up which only.mildly annoyed me. Mostly because it was dramatic. But most of this was very romantic without the drama or too much angst. I did find that we switch scenes randomly without warning at times. It was not jarring but bit confusing so that time passing was hard to catch unless the characters directly stated it had. Then towards the end we got months suddenly added in. Otherwise I loved the story and characters. Calehan's family seem warm and it was interesting learning a bit about archeology from an indigenous viewpoint.

I don't know what to say except I enjoyed this.

I enjoyed this when I was in the mood for it. I haven't read Priest yet because the hold for that one is taking forever. I wasn't expecting to be in Sean's perspective. I think he's the most unique personality I've read in a romance. Personality so over the top I had to laugh rather than be annoyed. I liked the romance and the themes. But I think the ending was rushed a bit.

This was good. Exactly what it says on the tin. Though I was expected more, at least a hint of why they are insomniacs, or more about their personalities. Anyway, its intriguing enough I want to continue. I read this for the BTS book club.

This was a book and series recommended to me last year for my 12 books recommended by 12 friends. A solid read. Urban fantasy is my fave sub-genre so it had everything I liked. I wasn't quite sucked in. But very interested the whole way through. A solid enjoyable read but not going into my faves. Something's missing but I dont know what. I'd pick up the next book if I come across it but I won't go looking for it.

Kinda ridiculous but I enjoyed it. R rated, which I wasn't expecting.
