I feel like this is one of those instances where I'm not enjoying this as much as I could because I'm not a huge fan of the narrator š«
āYou make a reckless decision, it's for you or Rain. I make a decision, it's for you. It's always for you. You could do anything say anything, break me time and time again, and the pieces left of me would crawl their way back to you. Don't ask me to choose between you and my kingdom, because I'll choose you-I always will-but I'll hate myself for it. We are not the same, Saoirse because I am selfishly in love with you."
1. I unfortunately lost interest in this. I was super bored for like 90% of it. I liked the last chapter lmao
2. I was expecting mermaids. There were no fucking mermaids.

So this was fun. Nothing exceptional, kinda followed the standard Tyrant King + Spaced Out Queen + Oblivious Prince with a resistance trying to take over. I liked the writing, I thought everything flowed well and I enjoyed it but I would have liked a little more world building, I think that would have made me enjoy it more. Hopefully we see some more in book 2.
While Iām never really a fan of the ignorant Prince trope, I didnāt mind Hayes, but I struggled with Saoirse and her siren nature.
I saw part of the plot twist coming so that sucked but I also expected something else so when that didnāt happen it was nice lol.

This was still a pretty good read, even with two new MCs, and it was nice and short and sweet. My only problem was Sarah and Chris kinda being idiots lmao
I'd always looked at body art as a way to exorcise demons, but it wasn't about that at all. It was a push and pull; letting go and holding on at the same time. She wore her loss in an armor of ink, just as I did.
Still a great mental health rep, spicy spice, and hot, tattooed men

What a fucking depressing book tho. In a good way š„²

While this was an okay conclusion, it wrapped up most things nicely, I was actually a little disappointed.
Falin wasn't in like 60% of the book, which sucked, and then all of the plot and wrap-up for the series was squished in the last 20%. I guess that can be kinda standard for a finale, but it was a lot in a short amount at the end, so it was rushed.

Clearly we were not going to be able to fuck our way to a working relationship, no matter how nice trying that might be. We were going to have to communicate.
If that doesn't describe 90% of any story that involves romance, I don't know what does š
This was a nice conclusion to the trilogy! I wish Eli was getting a book but it's fine, everything's fine.

This was aimless. I didnāt really get the point of this book, because nothing really happened. Or little things happened but there was no overall thing that happened. Unless I missed it. Which could be true because I was so bored at times.
Donāt advertise the FMC as a motorcycle riding person in a circus and then NEVER HAVE HER RIDE ONE. What the fuck. I thought that was such a cool premise.
At least there was no maniacal laughing and cringy singing in the audiobook this time but I still didnāt like either of the narrators. 2 stars
