Unpopular Opinion x2:

Huh, didn't think I'd like this one less than the first, but there you go.

Most of the plot twists I saw coming, everything was so rushed and not explained well enough. Like what was up with the Feast?? It lasted like a chapter and nothing happened.

I will read the next one, so I guess that says something? But I had to skim the last 40% cuz wow, I was bored.

The middle was slow, but the end was amazing! I took archeology and human evolution classes in university, and listening to all of the explanations of the Undying, Jules’ fascination with it, made me remember why I loved those classes.

It took a turn I did not see coming, which was really fun, and all of the theories I wrote down were wrong, which was great, because I didn’t see the reveal coming!

I’m probably on a high from the ending, so the star rating might be 4.25 because of the slow middle section, but the end brings it up to 4.5 stars for me!

So this isn’t a review, more of a reaction. I might add some notes later about the beginning and middle but this is mostly about the end.

I thought the ending to the last book was a cliffhanger, HA.
